Discover a Common Interest With Your Teen

It's easy to find things to do with young children that builds a connection between you. Toddlers and preschoolers simply enjoy being with family … doing what they're doing.

As children grow, their interests change. Your time with your teen must change, too.

To strengthen your connection to your teen, find something you both share an interest in. Maybe it's playing a particular game or exercising together. Perhaps you can take a course or pursue a new hobby together and both learn a new skill.

Whatever it is, try not to think of it as a "duty." Communication will flow naturally when you both can talk about and share an enjoyable activity. That communication and connection can give your teen the courage to face challenges in school and life.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: 

Middle School Athletics: Hall County School District Middle School Sporting Events will have an admission price of $5 per ticket. There will be a flat fee of $15 for a family of three or more.

Car Rider Procedures:

In the morning, we will only have 1 line. This will allow our staff to enter the parking lot. Please do not pass the car in line in front of you as students may be exiting on the driver's side. We want all students to arrive safely.  In the afternoon, we will have 2 lines to get traffic off Fran Mar as soon as possible. We will merge in a zipper format in the afternoon at the indicated merge point. Thank you!

Insurance:

The HCSD offers student insurance through the company, Student Assurance Services. This insurance is supplemental to a family’s primary provider and will assist with added costs in certain situations. For more details, please refer to…

ATTENDANCE COUNTS :  Please ensure that your student is present at school each and every day possible from the beginning of the school day until the last bell.  Schedule appointments after school or on the weekends if possible.

Consejos para Familias:

Descubra un Interés Común Con Su Adolescente

Es fácil encontrar actividades con niños pequeños que fortalezcan la conexión entre ustedes. Los niños pequeños y preescolares simplemente disfrutan estar en familia... haciendo lo que hacen.

A medida que los niños crecen, sus intereses cambian. El tiempo que pases con tu adolescente también debe cambiar.

Para fortalecer la conexión con tu adolescente, busca algo que les interese a ambos. Quizás sea jugar a un juego en particular o hacer ejercicio juntos. Quizás puedan tomar un curso o buscar un nuevo pasatiempo juntos y ambos aprender una nueva habilidad.

Sea lo que sea, intenta no considerarlo una "obligación". La comunicación fluirá con naturalidad cuando ambos puedan hablar y compartir una actividad agradable. Esa comunicación y conexión pueden darle a tu adolescente el valor para afrontar los retos en la escuela y en la vida.

Atletismo en Escuelas Intermedias: Los Eventos Deportivos de Escuelas Intermedias del Distrito Escolar del Condado de Hall tendrán un precio de entrada de $5 por boleto. Habrá una tarifa fija de $15 para una familia de tres o más.

Procedimientos para Pasajeros por Carro:

Por la mañana, solo tendremos 1 línea. Esto permitirá que nuestro personal ingrese al estacionamiento. Por favor, no pase el automóvil en línea frente a usted ya que los estudiantes pueden estar saliendo del lado del conductor. Queremos que todos los estudiantes lleguen seguros. Por la tarde dispondremos de 2 líneas para sacar el tráfico de Fran Mar lo antes posible. Vamos a confluir en formato cremallera por la tarde en el punto de fusión indicado. ¡Gracias!
