The FY 25 Title I Right to Know Letter is a document that lets all parents and families know that your child's teachers are certified in the areas that they are teaching. Once you read the FY25 Right to Know letter, (see button above) please complete the google form that states you have read it. We appreciate your help in completing Title I required documentation and your commitment to our school and community.
MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) testing is beginning this week. MAP is an adaptive test for reading and math. Students will take math on one day and reading on another. Students in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade will take the test over the next few days. This test is given three times per year and helps teachers monitor students growth and learning and informs teachers of a students need for enrichment or remediation. Is your child interested in playing soccer. YMCA is hosting a soccer team here at Sardis. Practice begins on Thursday, 8.15 and is from 2:30 to 3:30 pm but you must sign up ahead of time. See the flyer to scan the QR code to sign up.
Did you know we sell ice cream at school? Ice Creams are $1 each. There are several varieties to choose from. Ice Cream is sold during the last 10 minutes of the lunch time to all grade levels, Kindergarten through fifth grade. Whenever possible, please send correct change if you want your child to purchase an ice cream.
Do you want to come to school to eat lunch with your child? We are working hard to set up routines and procedures all throughout the school. We can't wait to have you join us for lunch. We will begin accepting visitors on Tuesday, Sept. 3. We have a few procedures we need to make you aware of when you come for lunch.
Outside food is not permitted.
Parent/Guardian may eat in the Bistro area with your child. (no friends please)
