2nd Grade Science Utilizes the FOSS Program

FOSS Modules

• Liquids & Solids

  • In this unit, we learn about the properties of liquids and solids and experiment hands-on materials to discover more about these states of matter.

• Pebbles, Sand, & Silt

  • In this unit, we learn about the life cycle of rocks and the composition of soil, while experimenting with various types of rocks, sand, silt, and clay.

• Butterfly Unit

  • In this unit, we learn about the life cycle of a caterpillar, the body parts, and discover how to take care of a living animal. At the end of the unit, we release the butterflies to keep the cycle going!
