Check out some series books that your child may read this school year!
In this unit, we focus on reading Series Books. That means there are more than one book with the same characters. Some series are sequential and go in a certain order, others have the same characters that go on various adventures or daily activities. For this unit, your child will pick a series that is just right for them and they will read as many books in their chosen series. As we read our Series Books, we will then be discussing and practicing some new skills and strategies. Let's check them out!
In the first bend, we will be focusing on our characters. We will be reading closely to learn as much as we can about our characters and notice how they are very similar across the series. In the second bend, we will turn our focus to our authors and notice what is special and unique about our series book authors. The last bend is left to celebrate our Series Book and share the love with the entire class. Which series will you choose??
