End of Summer
By Gabriel Roguso

The drear of the Summer is all gone,
The bloody sun and all warmth is withdrawn,
Hope for the chilling breeze, the Fall brings upon,
As the Sun is a tyrannical king to a measly pawn,
Finally, the drear of summer is all gone.
How hot, how hot, can the Sun get?
I waited 90 days for Summer’s wrath to repent,
To go back and understand the Earth’s common resent,
Wave a black flag that can go where I once went,
I wish the sun could resent.
If Brother Moon could convince Sun of its evil ways,
Send crying clouds for those 90 days,
And put the Sun in a long haze,
The Earth is blinded by burning gaze,
If only Brother Moon could convince Sun of its evil ways.
The Fall brings ethic to summer’s decimation,
As colors of magnitude and the difference of observation,
Illustrating leaves anew in beautiful pigmentation,
Indeed, a praise to the end of Summer’s duration,
If I could I would stamp a heavy, bold, declaration.
Dear King Sun,
I wish art thou hast new thought,
Think of the world without you shining a lot,
As you once had the playful joy we sought,
But now you are just a dumb shining rock,
That inevitably turns people to ashes in your steaming pot,
I wish you were not shining a lot.
We once worshipped you and thought of you as kind,
As you a peaceful philosopher in our mind,
We could walk cheerfully to the prosperous outside,
But now, your Devil rays sting and radiate your pride,
I think you should consider going to hide.
Hide from a world differing in view,
As we understand you have a job to do,
All I request is that you consider my ado,
And try to fix all wrongdoings that are now loose,
Catch all of your Devil rays hiding in a world anew,
Go back to your original ways, as that would subdue,
Even if this take 12.5 billion years to reach you,
Consider my ideas and the ones’ of Brother Moon.
However long it takes, I will wait till my days are due,
But goodbye for now Sun and I will sadly see you again soon,
