New Science League

A new academic opportunity has made an impression at our school: Science League. This is a club specifically designed for AP Biology and Biology students, combining knowledge and competition. Taking place after school in the cafeteria, students take specific tests based on the class they are enrolled in and compete against other students taking the same test. The goal is simple but challenging: answer as many questions correctly as possible.
Students are not only testing their understanding of the material, but also measuring their performance against their peers. This club also offers students more practice for exams and strengthens their problem solving skills. AP Biology Student Layla Flynn called the club “a challenging yet useful experience” that is helping her prepare for her AP exam in May. The first meeting occurred in January, but the club is always accepting new members. The club, run by Mr. Kudrak, offers students the opportunity to earn extra credit as well as service hours for Science National Honor Society. The top three students who took each test will also be entered into the competition at the state level.
