Harrison Bader just clobbered his 15th home run of the 2025 season to deep left field at IoanDepot Park. This ball landed in the middle of the stands and a scuffle occurred to get the ball. Out came a father that secured the ball for his young son. The kid, overjoyed and proud of his father, gave him a huge hug and thanked him for the ball. However, in this perfect moment for the kid, a woman ran up to the family and stole the ball. This baseball would not only give the kid a night to remember, it also supposedly got a woman fired from her teaching position in New Jersey.
The Phillies are the front-runner of the National League East division, and new addition Harrison Bader is much to thank for that success. His impact since the trade deadline has skyrocketed the team and established them as one of the National Leagues’ top competitors. The game between the Philadelphia Phillies and the Miami Marlins on September 5th, however, was remembered for the viralized video of this event.
The dad of the family says briefly that the unidentified woman was harassing his family and demanded the ball. This altercation likely could have been avoided if the woman realized her anger and her chaotic behavior. I believe that this woman could have calmed herself down, but we all fault in unexpected situations. If a baseball had been hit at me, and I was in a scuffle to get the ball would be upset, but if I saw a family get the ball, I would not be upset. After all this, a fan familiar with the woman stated that she was a worker in a NJ public school and this led to outrage by millions.
However, the inquisition posted on Facebook was false, as she was never an educator in the first place. This false statement that led to fame in her fault is demeaning and warrants the accusatory the world has become. Although she seemed out of line, she was just anxious and wanted the ball. The impact of this knowledge suggests that the judgment of this person’s character was misread because she was known as a teacher of kids. The behavior demonstrated while being wrong is the conveyance of people’s hidden persona being revealed.
