A Fantastic Start to the Hackettstown Cross Country Season (featuring Isabella Sisto)

Although it has just begun, the Hackettstown Cross Country Team is having a great season. Many members of the team have medaled at the meets, including sophomores Joseph Pangallo and Isabella Sisto. Their first meet occurred September 6th at the Roxbury Cross Country Invitational, where Isabella Sisto finished sixth out of seventy-two girls, with a remarkable time of 18:56. In an interview with Isabella Sisto, she stated, “While I was very nervous for my first cross country meet, I felt confident in my pacing abilities and was excited to take on the course.” Joey and Malaki also represented Hackeststown well by meddling in this meet. The team received recognition on the Hackettstown Community Forum page.
In addition, the team had their second meet of the season and first home meet at the Hackettstown Cross Country Quad. They also celebrated senior members Layla and Sophie due to it being their senior night. At this meet, Isabella Sisto sealed a first-place position by representing Hackettstown with a time of 19:43. In the interview, Isabella stated, “I was a lot more excited for this meet because I was familiar with the course and already got the nervousness of my first meet out of the way”. Isabella’s teammate, Joseph Pangallo also finished first at this meet. Overall, the Cross Country team is having a fabulous start to their season, especially due to their representation by Isabella Sisto.
