Curriculums
Compulsory content
You will be mentored several times a year by a researcher in a different field.
You will have the opportunity to develop your debating and presentation skills for communication and facilitation according to your counterparts.
Selective content
Intended to send students abroad for about one week.
You will learn about the differences in the meaning of a PhD in Japan and abroad by interviewing researchers and others at the destination.

Participation in company internships and PBL. We offer you exposure to non-academic opportunities.

Compulsory content
Overnight retreat and exchange of ideas with doctoral students of different fild in Ikaho Onsen.
Provides an opportunity for students to stimulate each other on their own research topics and ideas. Students who excel in their presentations and questions will receive additional research funding.

We offer opportunities to gain diverse skills by attending Transferable Skills lectures, OODA Loop seminars and Advanced Research English Conversations (Berlitz). (lean more)

We are planning an omnibus lecture by PhDs from companies, URAs, etc., on what PhDs are doing outside academia.
Option
We plan to organise practical seminars on 'Accounting Basics', 'Tips for Application Forms', 'Stress Management' and other research-oriented topics.

We give students the opportunity to be exposed to start-ups and business competitions to foster start-up awareness. Students interested in starting bisiness are requied.
Compulsory content
We will conduct a Qualifying Examination (QE) for you at the end of the Foundation Course and the Applied Course.
The foundation course QE (1st QE) is a written assessment. The applied course QE (2nd QE) is a presentation and Q&A session.
