A. If scholarships other than the Next-GIP do not exceed 2.4 million yen, you may receive scholarships and other grants in duplicate with the Next-GIP.
Even after the Next-GIP is adopted, scholarship funds cannot exceed 2.4 million yen, so you will be asked to decline one of the scholarships..

Scholarship recipients should check to see if their funding source allows them to receive a research scholarship under this program concurrently.If the foundation or other organization does not allow dual funding, the scholarship recipient is not eligible to apply.
The income threshold is 2.4 million yen per year, so if your income is less than 2.4 million yen per year, you may apply.

A. Combined income is allowed. If you were on a stable income, please notify the office as soon as possible, as you will lose your eligibility as a program student if your combined income from other employment exceeds 2.4 million yen per year.

A. Combination of Act-X research funding and Next-GIP is allowed.
However, please note that the total amount of additional RA expense support that can be requested under Act-X should not exceed 2.4 million yen per year when combined with other salary income.

A. There is no problem in combining the Next-GIP support for study abroad and international conference presentations with the Next-GIP research grant.
After submitting a report to Teams, the amount equivalent to the cost of the study abroad and international conference presentation support (up to 400,000 yen) will be additionally allocated to the Next-GIP research expenses.

Travel and participation expenses for international conference presentations and international communication practice may be charged to the Next-GIP research fund based on the university's accounting procedures, even if they are temporarily in the red.
