September 14: Journal Entry #4

As I mentioned in my previous journal post(s), I hold very little formal knowledge in regards to my topic of inquiry, human nature & indoctrination; however, I do hold a notable amount of general knowledge in regards to my research. I think I know that Thomas Hobbes & Jean-Jacques Rousseau are the most prolific figures in regards to the question human nature. I think I know that political indoctrination, particularly into far-right groups, is prevalent within the United States, and the wider western world. I think I know that many individuals who are susceptible to political indoctrination are individuals who have, generally, been ostracized by society. I think I know that my conclusion regarding human nature is accurate.
