"Which groups of people are susceptible to indoctrination?" is my essential question in EMC for the month of November. I think that this essential question falls into the knowledge domain of HOTQs due to its resemblance to several prompts such as "what is..." or "which one..." In the coming weeks I hope to research which groups of people are targeted by indoctrinators, and why. I hypothesize that I will discover a set of traits, and from this I will create a profile of a susceptible individual from the data/information collected. Below are my sub-questions:
1). How do political indoctrinators come into contact with new members?
2). How do political indoctrinators utilize the internet?
3). Are people who have been, historically speaking, deprived of a sense of community more susceptible to indoctrination?"
After consulting HOTQs I don't feel that my essential question, or sub-question should be altered due to the fact that they all address differing aspects of this issue in unique ways, but that all relate to my essential question.
One sub-question that I think will drive my essential question is sub-question number three, " are people who have been, historically speaking, deprived of a sense of community more susceptible to indoctrination?" This sub-question will help me answer my essential question of "Which groups of people are susceptible to indoctrination?"
