1. Traditional Face-to-Face Courses
The Traditional Setting offers students the opportunity to make up a failed academic course or take an elective for the first time in a face-to-face classroom. Students attend class for approximately five (5) hours each day for three weeks each session. Students are allowed to miss two (2) days of summer school each session in the traditional setting (for ANY reason, including illness). Those with (3) or more absences will be dropped.
2. Edgenuity - (students will be required to attend in person) Online Courses*
The Edgenuity Program allows students to make up one (1) failed course or make up elective credits through the use of the software. Students in the Edgenuity program will attend for the entire school day and may also be required to do additional work at home. Attendance is mandatory and students who miss more than two (2) days of class or do not stay on pace with the curriculum, will be automatically dropped from the course.
*Courses DO NOT MEET NCAA requirements for students who want to play sports in college. English, science, social science, and math Edgenuity courses will meet 4-year college requirements.
