Fee Waivers

Fees can be a barrier for you when it comes to testing and applying to college? You may want to see if you qualify for a fee waiver. We offer fee waivers to help lower-income students cover these fees. Students who meet the eligibility requirements can pick up a FEE WAIVER APPLICATION from Mr. Jason Cook in the Counseling Office.

No matter your financial situation, college is within reach. Attending a four-year college means you'll have more career options in the future. You'll also have the opportunity to meet a diverse group of people, study subjects you love, and uncover your passions and talents. A fee waiver can help you realize your college dreams.

SAT Subject Tests Waivers

**IMPORTANT - Students who qualify are allowed (2) TWO fee waivers during their entire school career.  So choose your dates wisely!

High school students in the U.S. or U.S. territories who can't afford to pay test fees may be eligible for SAT fee waivers. Fee waivers can be used for the SAT and SAT Subject Tests. U.S. citizens living outside the U.S. may also qualify for a fee waiver. Students must be in 11th or 12th grade to use an SAT fee waiver, or in 9th to 12th grade to use a Subject Test fee waiver. To be eligible, you must meet at least one of the requirements below:

ACT Tests Waivers

If you can't afford the registration fee for the ACT (No Writing) or ACT Plus  Writing, you may be eligible for an ACT Fee Waiver. Information about the eligibility requirements and how to request a fee waiver is sent each summer to high schools.

You must meet all of the following requirements:

If you are eligible, you may use a maximum of two separate fee waivers total. The waiver is used once you register, even if you do not test on the requested test date.

IMPORTANT: To take full advantage of the waiver, you must follow through and test on your registered test date.

Fee waivers cover only the basic registration fee for your test option, including up to four college choices (if you provide valid codes when you register). Waivers do not cover the late registration fee, test date or test center changes, standby fee, or any other services.

You cannot request a fee waiver directly from ACT; you must contact your high school counselor. If you receive an ACT Fee Waiver Form, follow the "Student Directions" on it for your registration method (or if requesting Special Testing).

Note: If you register online, and register during the late period or request any additional services, you must enter a credit card to pay those fees before submitting your registration.

College Application Waivers

The NACAC Request for Admission Application Fee Waiver form and SAT® Fee Waiver are mutually exclusive. As such, students who meet the eligibility requirements may use BOTH the NACAC and College Board forms when requesting fee waivers.  In other words, students may theoretically use the NACAC form at four (4) colleges and the SAT® College Board Fee Waiver at a maximum of four (4) separate colleges.

College Board Fee Waivers - Four (4) Fee Waivers

If you have used a fee waiver while in high school for the SAT or SAT Subject Tests, you are automatically eligible for up to four fee college application fee waivers for participating institutions. If you are a senior and eligible for college application fee waivers, you will receive them when you get your SAT score. If you are a junior and eligible, you will receive them in the fall of your senior year. In the meantime, search for colleges that accept application fee waivers.

NACAC Fee Waiver - Four (4) Fee Waivers

Students who have limited financial resources and meet the requirements below may use the NACAC Request for Application Fee Waiver Form when applying for college. The form helps ensure that access to college is possible for all students. The form is for traditional high school students applying to post-secondary colleges or universities in the fall immediately following high school graduation.

Students are eligible to use the form if:
