Lesson Expectations

  • Students to have logged on confidently to Google and accessed their Google Classroom.
  • Students to have logged on to Scratch with their user name and password.
  • Students to have bookmarked the Scratch Website and the Somers Heath Coding website.
  • Students to have used scratch to draw different shapes on the screen.
  • Students to have used scratch to draw circles of different sizes.
  • Students to feedback what they have learned during the lesson using a Google Form.

Starter Challenge

  • Log on to Google Classroom with an Incognito window
  • Make sure you have three tabs open, Google Classroom, Scratch and the Somers Heath Coding Website

In the previous lesson...

  • You logged onto your Google Classroom account and your Scratch account.
  • You deleted a Sprite on Scratch
  • You added the Earth sprite to your canvas
  • You made your sprite smaller by use the Shrink tool
  • You made your sprite move using coding
  • You created a square using the coding tools

Challenge 2

If you have any problems you can refer to the video on the right for some help.

  • Add a second Sprite.
  • Draw circles with the second Sprite.

Challenge

Make both Sprites start their circles at exactly the same place every time.

  • Make sure you have given your project an appropriate title.
  • Click the Share button in the top right corner.

End Challenge

As a class to create a Word Cloud with all the vocabulary that you have learned in the last two weeks.
