Lesson Expectations

To create your interactive timeline and start adding your text entries to the spreadsheet.

Starter Activity

What learning have you done over the last year?

Have a class discussion about what learning you have done over the last year. Children to use their books to find things that they have learned.

Computer Group

The computer group will start adding their entries to the spreadsheet timeline.

Step 1

In Google Classroom open the assignment titled 'My Year 5 Learning'
Open the Spreadsheet that is within this Assignment post

Step 2

In row 2 of this spreadsheet complete the following columns about where and when you were born:

Year (must be a number)
Month (must be a number)
Day (must be a number)
Display Date - this is the date format that you would like to display, eg: Wednesday 20th September 2018
Headline - This would be the Title of the piece of learning you will be adding
Text - Write a paragraph about this piece of work. Add what you learned and anything about the learning experience.

iPad Group

The iPad group will start taking photographs of the work that they have achieved this year.
Use the annotation tool to annotate some of the photos.
Save the photos to the camera roll.
The photographs can then be added to the network so they can be used in the timeline.
This group can also use notes to start listing all the pieces of work that they can include in their timeline.
