This experience was quite educative. I learnt a lot about website making. The Skype session with Ms. Deborah was quite interactive.
GVC is really a nice platform to present our views , opinions and creativity. I faced no problem in using Edmodo. It gave me a better experience , every time a task was assigned to me.
GVC gave me a platform to show my talent. This year's topic ' Reading - a window to the world', actually opened the world to me. I started reading, which earlier I used to run away from. This new change is really a great thing. I realized what I was missing.
I loved this project as it really helped me to increase my knowledge and motivated me to read further. This project gave us the platform to collaborate with JCD STEM school, USA and get to know about their perspectives and share our ideas. It was wonderful working with them as they really gave amazing suggestions.
Taking part in GVC has been a great exposure for me. It has helped me hone my writing skills. Also, during this time period, I realized how reading is a window to the world and reading can never be a waste of time because it will only add to one's knowledge.
The topic of this year's project helped me in increasing my vocabulary. This project not only increased my desire to read books but also increased my confidence level. It gave me a lot of information.
Edmodo is a good station for connecting with the students worldwide. The topic of this year really motivated me to read more. I read a lot which in my daily schedule I used to find difficult earlier.
GVC gave me a chance to embrace reading and I learnt a lot about teamwork too. I got a chance to know others' perspectives about reading. Our partner school came up with wonderful ideas about various tabs that could be incorporated in the website.
It was an unforgettable experience which made me learn a lot of new things. I learnt a lot about the advantages of reading and after this I myself started reading and suggested others to do so. As a part of the project , I also donated a few books so that more people can learn .
It was a great opportunity to be a part of this project. I have learnt a lot from this project . I also got connected to the students of JCD Stem school and had an interactive session with their teacher incharge. Unfortunately , due to the time gap , we couldn't interact with our friends in the USA directly but still had a link through Edmodo.
It was a pleasure reading the novel 'Wonder' suggested by our partner school. I just loved the way both the teams worked together to make the website look great.
This was the first time I worked on GVC and learned many things. Earlier, I didn't like reading but now I can't sleep without reading. This project enhanced my reading and writing skills. It motivated me to continue reading and increase my knowledge.
GVC is a challenging platform where we show our talent. It's since I participated in GVC, my confidence and vocabulary improved. I also started taking keen interest in reading novels and books and came across a new world of books. It was good time participating in GVC.
I consider myself very lucky to be a part of this global project. I was always passionate about reading and now due to this project , I could bring improvement in my writing skills and express my ideas. I enjoyed reading articles and poems by other children posted by our partner school and got to know about their viewpoint. The Skype session held with Ms. Deborah was quite informative too.
A student only needs a stage where they can portray their talent. GVC is a platform which has helped me to put my talent on a stage. It has definitely improved my English and has made me more focused. I really thank the school for giving this wonderful opportunity to me to come out of my comfort zone and listen to opinions of others too and work on them.
This year's Global Virtual Project has had a great impact on me. It has taught me so much about how reading is truly a window to the world. It has helped me identify all the different ways one can read and experience so many different things just by sitting in his room. It was truly an honor to be a part of this prestigious platform and I hope to continue in the coming years too.

GVC is a great platform and gives an amazing exposure not only to the students but to the teachers as well. The Skype sessions with the partner school went off very well. The topic this year was reading, so I not only made it a point asking my students to read more but also made it mandatory for myself to read an hour daily.
I am very fortunate to be a part of GVC every year. It is a great exposure for me. It provides me with an excellent platform to collaborate with wonderful people across the globe.
I thought that working with people from another country is very cool. We got to see the things that they created and worked together to make something that we are proud of. Even though we live in different parts of the world, we had many things in common. People made great art and creations together and by themselves. Overall, I think that this project was very cool, and a huge success.
Aydyn W. (JCD STEM)
I felt that this was an awesome project to work on because it allowed us to work with people we would probably never see otherwise. It was fun to see other people’s perspectives on things and feel like a part of a group.
Markus I (JCD STEM)
I loved working with a team on the other side of the world, because we got to learn a lot about them and their culture. We all shared our ideas, and see if they like it and, they get to extend on the idea or make a new one. We both shared each other’s best stories, and authors and got to know about what they like to read and much more! But the only thing, was that it was kind of hard to communicate with them, because we had different timings that didn’t work out properly.
Shruthi V (JCD STEM)
I enjoyed working with teammates from another country because we got to learn about them and their culture. I thought it was fun that we both shared stories for the other team to read. We got to learn about India’s culture from the stories they recommended. Even though both countries have different timings and it was sometimes hard to to communicate, the website looks very creative and amazing. Overall, I loved working on the project and with the other team.
Pranavi K ( JCD STEM)
Working with a team that lives all the way across the world was very interesting and fun. I really liked this project because we got to express ourselves and what we thought of learning in our perspective. We never got to really see the students but we were able to interact with the teacher and see everything they were doing. It's amazing that we were able to create this neat website with people we don't even know properly. Overall, I loved this project because of all the things we were able to do.
Jazlyn B (JCD STEM)
When you work with a team on the other side of the world, you can learn many things! One of which, is team-working skills. During this project, our team didn’t communicate a lot with the other (we couldn’t just walk up and talk to them easily). But, we still could build a neat and awesome looking website! My overall thoughts on working with a global team are positive. It was extraordinary to work with a team of a whole other culture. With having two different countries, we could write and share a lot more on the website.
Anthony M ( JCD STEM)
Collaborating with a country across the world was a great experience. We had a chance to share books and learn more about the culture and lifestyle of India, which was very different from ours. From this project, I saw the point of view of other people on reading. Because of this, I have gained more interest in literature. This year was my first year of GVC, and already I have improved in my creativity and web building skills. These skills will be very helpful for me in the future.
Sanum S ( JCD STEM)
GVC is a great opportunity to work across the world. GVC allows us to communicate with others and show how we are a partnership school. As a school, I do think the best way to learn is with others, especially with schools that we might not know the culture of, but we can learn about through our topic of choice, reading. The choice of reading is great because reading is an escape from the reality. Reading can show life from the perspective of others.
Erick C (JCD STEM)
I think GVC is a really interesting opportunity, because you get to see the world from other people's perspectives, and we also got to learn about a new country. I also liked reading the articles on what our teammates thought about 'Wonder'. I think having to work in different time zones is challenging though, because you can't have whole class discussions.
Arianna J ( JCD STEM)
I think there are multiple positive effects of working with a team on the other side of the world. One of the effects are that it challenges us to communicate and learn about each other. Through this program we were able to learn more about India, where our teammates lived. Also I think there are some positives of working on this project overall. It allowed us to communicate with other people. Also, it helped us learn and practice some skills such as teamwork, website building, etc.
Elijah D ( JCD STEM)
It felt like a positive experience and effect that we got to collaborate with other people on the other side of the world and have barely any communication and still be able to work on something. I really enjoyed working on the GVC and the project because it is so different to the other projects. The only thing I didn't like is that with this was the Covid-19 Pandemic and we were not able to collaborate as much as we usually do.
Rishab T ( JCD STEM)
I really enjoyed working on this website with a global team. Before we started working on the website we researched a little about New Delhi. We learned about their culture, environment, schools, and community. I really enjoyed learning about people around the world and how their lives are so much more different than ours. This was an unforgettable experience that I hope more people and kids get to do.
Vianney J ( JCD STEM)
I really liked working with a team from a different country because we got to learn about them. It was interesting to be able to collaborate with students from across the world. It was fun to be able to choose what you wanted to contribute to the website based on what you were interested in.
Valerie F ( JCD STEM)
I really think this project gave an opportunity for me to learn more about another culture and how things work in another country! It’s also really fun knowing that I’m collaborating with a team across the world. Sometimes it’s hard though because we have completely different time zones, so it’s much harder to contact them but somehow we managed it pretty well.
Olli W ( JCD STEM)
A positive affect is that we get to collaborate with other people on this from different continents and have barely any communication and still be able to work on something. I really enjoyed working on a global platform because it is so different from the other projects. The only thing I didn't like is that with this Coronavirus thing , I wasn't able to finish my audio books and more.
Abhi D ( JCD STEM)
I think that this project was an amazing opportunity to learn about a different culture. It was very interesting to see what kind of stories they enjoy reading, and through their stories you can learn so much about the lifestyle in India. It was also fun to create small projects, and see our ideas end up in one amazing website. Although there was a large time gap between America and India, we were able work around that.
Sarayu B ( JCD STEM)
This project has taught me a lot. Not only did I get the opportunity to meet people that are on the other side of the world, I got to learn about what they like to write/read. I found the other teams culture very interesting and it was cool to learn about their school and country. I Also got to practice my writing skills, I wrote multiple summary’s and reviews on a variety of books.
Max W, JCD STEM
I learned a lot from this project. I got the opportunity to interact with people around the world, and I also got to share my thoughts and art with other people. I also got to see what the other team's members read, and how their books were much different from ours. Overall, I really enjoyed this project because it allowed me to share my thoughts and ideas in a fun environment and also was a fun way to collaborate with other people around the world.
Hayden L (JCD STEM)
I think there can be many benefits to working globally. One of them is that it can be good for future job opportunities. The reason for this is because on resumes it may look good to interviewers that you have worked with people across the globe. Another reason this can be good for jobs is if you have a job where you do need to work globally you can do it more easily because of the experience. Overall working in this group can be very beneficial for jobs.
Xavier B. (JCD STEM)
On positive effects would be the experience. Not many students get this opportunity, so it was nice working with other students that we are not used to seeing everyday. Also we got to learn a little bit of how they work other there and how it is different from how we learn. Since we learn differently that can make a really good website because they would most likely have different ideas from us. Also, because all helped with the website, if you look at it you can learn a couple of new things.
Giselle P. (JCD STEM)
There are many positive things about working with someone across the world. If everybody working on the website was from the same place everything would be the same. Working with someone across the world is awesome because you get a mix of both cultures and ideas. Since there were two classes working on this, it really helped because we have a lot of minds on the task.
Cruz E. (JCD STEM)
Some benefits are we get to see what it is like in other places in the world. There are also more brains working on one thing. Some negatives are covid-19 and schools being shut down. Another negative thing is that they are on the other side of the world from us.
