Reading is the most powerful tool that we use to discover the world around us. It is a window which offers a whole new perspective on broader issues. But over the years, it has been observed that people are busy on social media and seldom have time to read. ‌ According to Garrison Keillor (an American author), a book is a gift one can open again and again. Lack of reading is one of the contributing factors leading to lack of knowledge and inefficiency in the usage of any language.

Mind is a library of what one reads. Investing in good books is considered a life time asset. Not only books but other sources of reading like newspapers and magazines provide knowledge about the latest updates in the world around us. The habit of reading enriches one’s life. Let's follow a day of digital detox in a week and pick up a good book to read. It will make our lives worthwhile.

“Reading is your window to the world that no one can close for you. " These words can perfectly describe a book that has always proved to be our 'never failing' friends. A book stays with us in the most difficult times when we need someone or something to divert our mind from the problems we face and takes us to an entirely different world. Reading gives us food for thought. It always proves to be the best in giving us overwhelming joy and helps us to forget all the worries of life. Books unfold great minds and make greatness infectious.

I love reading books,

As it takes me to another world.

Reading lifts my spirit ;

And sends me in a twirl, ‌

Reading a book is like ,

Climbing a mountain.

Being in peace and lie down and curl.

‌ The more you read ,

The more things you'll learn,

The more that you learn ;

The more places you'll go.

A window is an asset to a house. A house is always dark and gloomy without a window. A window allows the bright sunshine to enter the house, which purifies the house by killing the germs. A window is the medium which opens the opportunity to glance at the beautiful world around. Exactly like the window, reading too opens new dimensions.Reading is said to be a window to the world as it allows the bright light of knowledge to enter the minds of people. It clears the dark thoughts of people. The world is open to the person who knows how to read. He gets opportunities to achieve his aim. It is said, "Once you learn to read, you are forever free." Reading really influences the life of people. It makes life comfortable and smooth going. "Reading changes life, it makes us reach high sky . "

Reading isn't a propensity; it is a lifestyle. It is significant in light of the fact that it is useful . The habit of reading books is in reality superior to having dependence on playing computer games. It is just enslavement, which, rather than hurting us, gives us a ton of pleasure. Reading creates language abilities and jargon. Reading books is an approach to unwind and decrease pressure. It is essential to read a decent book in any event for a couple of moments every day to extend the mind muscles for solid working.

Reading is a receptive skill through which we attain a lot of information about the world around us and many of the happenings around us. It has a lot of benefits like it helps to develop our verbal abilities. It improves our focus and concentration.

It helps us to imagine .

Reading makes us smarter and reduces our stress and builds and sharpens our memory. This is the only reason why parents motivate their children to read a lot.

It’s very well said by Emma Chase that “Reading brings knowledge and knowledge is power...” ‌ The benefits of reading books are plenty. Moreover, reading distracts the people (especially children) from smartphones and other electronic devices. Reading is a power manifesto which helps in stimulating imagination, intelligence, and skills of the readers. Reading tells us about values, places, people, culture, and life in every way. It prevents us from going wrong or making mistakes. The gain in vocabulary and knowledge is also a power of reading. It even sharpens the memory of the avid readers. Since books are full of powers, we must make it a habit to read books regularly.
