Description:
Fuse club is an inclusive club for students with and without disabilities. We compete in unified Special Olympic competitions throughout the year, where both students with and without disabilities compete together. We have completed in soccer and basketball already, and still have our Track and Field and Softball tournaments later this spring. We also hosted our first annual unified Kickball tournament this fall at FIHS with Southside and Hillcrest participating. Many of our club members also sign up for our Peer Tutoring class, where they are assigned to work in one of our self contained special education classes (Mrs. Poston, Mrs. Lloyd, or my room) or they attend a general education classroom with one or two of our students to help assist them, or participate in unified PE with Coach Thomas. We meet once a month (third Tuesday of the month) at 8 am.
