Why should you join Youth In Government - Testimonies and Quotes
"My First Youth In Government Experience was sophomore year. I was big into sports media and didn't want anything to do with law, I had Coach Roberson as my Chemistry teacher and Coach Sadler for law ed, and they convinced me to go, one of them said I can't explain it you just have to do it. Walking into that opening convention with 2 thousand other delegates from all over South Carolina I was moved and instantly inspired, My bill about Name Image and likeness for Senior Athletes in High School got passed all the way through. Me and my partner Brandon Young got outstanding Bill and I won Best Statesman. This Most recent Conference I ran for Youth Governor going against 6 other delegates from Bluffton, Easly, Wade Hampton, Governor's School of Arts, Brashier Middle college and May River. Youth in Government has taught me that if you don't do it you will never know the outcome, if it's either you win or lose, pass or fail that doesn't matter it's the effort that counts. Youth in Government is a great way to get out of your comfort zone and learn fundamental Bill parliament." -Nick Pickins
"YIG has been a very fun part of my high school experience. It gave me the opportunity to meet new people and it gave me the chance to work on my public speaking skills." -Brandon Young
