Every once in a while, a video will surface on the internet, becoming everyone's new favorite meme. The newest addition to the internet’s monthly obsession is TikTok rizz party. It has all of the ingredients that the masses love, like a cast of characters, silly dancing, and free rein to make fun of people with no real consequences.
The original TikTok rizz party video was posted to the account islandentertainment on TikTok. Island Entertainment advertises its services as DJing, photography, and videography for various events. This particular event was a Sweet 16 for a girl named Jillian, who is entirely irrelevant to the lore. Shout out to Jillian, though. The video features a group of boys singing and dancing to “Carnival” by Kayne West. They are in semi-formal clothing and it looks like the same kind of environment as a school dance. It is important to note that TikTok rizz party was already a joke predating this iconic video. Around May of 2023, someone posted a photo of a poster that was left on their car, advertising a TikTok rizz party. As usual, the internet dog-piled on it and made fun of the buzzwords and terrible poster design. When the video of the boys dancing came out, people naturally connected the two, saying the Sweet 16 was the TikTok rizz party that had been advertised. On TikTok, dennisurcia commented, “Why did I not get an invite to the TikTok rizz party,” and jionnygreenwood commented: “that party was so fwipping lit!!” The TikTok rizz party flame continued to spread across the internet until lore began to sprout.
The main cast of characters includes: Blue Tie Kid (also known as the leader), Turkish Quandale Dingle, White Shirt Guy, and Tomato Guy. A lesser known, but still important, cast of TikTok rizz party is The Bops. Bop is a new slang term used to describe people, usually women, who have the reputation of getting around. The internet loves coming up with new ways to be misogynistic! In the other videos taken at the same party, there was a group of girls doing a similar dance to the guys who have been labeled The Bops. The Bop leader is Red Dress Girl but there is also Purple Dress Girl, and Blue Dress Girl. Some of these names are pretty obvious. Blue Tie Kid is wearing a blue tie and White Shirt Guy is wearing a white shirt, but the other names are slightly more obscure and also just straight-up bullying. Tomato Guy is called Tomato because his face was a bright pink, probably from all of the sick dancing. Turkish Quandale Dingle is even more abstract and has even more history behind the name. Quandale Dingle is an actual person who played football in Pennsauken, who first started to get attention due to his unusual name. The joke then changed to a photo of the rapper NBA YoungBoy with an edited nose, to make it look longer, whom the internet deemed Quandale Dingle. Supposedly, Turkish Quandale Dingle was named this because he has a large nose, like the NBA YoungBoy photo, and because he looks Turkish despite being Italian. This is like the most extreme form of bullying and has some very racist undertones, but that is a lot to unpack in a TikTok rizz party article.
TikTok rizz party is a true pioneer of its time. While many similarly popular videos gained traction because people were able to play off them by making their own version of the video or using some part of it to insert themselves into the joke– TikTok rizz party is all about the edits. From the edits, the TikTok rizz party fangirls piece together the lore. Blue Tie Kid is often referred to as the leader because he takes center stage in the video looking confidently into the camera as his jockeys rejoice around him. Blue Tie Kid is most often shipped with Turkish Quandale Dingle, although Red Dress Girl has also been shipped with him a few times because of her status as leader of The Bops. However, the general consensus is that Bluedingle is the best ship. Despite their blossoming romance, Turkish Quandale Dingle is rumored to be plotting to take leadership from Blue Tie Kid alongside Tomato Guy. White Shirt Guy is, of course, Blue Tie Kid’s loyal second in command. Much like ancient mythology, many versions of TikTok rizz party may conflict with one another, but it is up to the audience's interpretation whether White Shirt Guy or Turkish Quandale Dingle is second in command. Recently, the account that produced the original TikTok posted a new video of a mysterious Gold Tie Kid who has supposedly taken the new leadership position and reins over the rizz party, but this has not been confirmed by the general masses yet.
White Shirt Guy and Tomato Guy have been pretty quiet about the situation, but Blue Tie Kid, whose real name is Sebie, and Turkish Quandale Dingle, whose real name is Mike, have been pretty open about it. The two have done a couple of interviews together talking about the party and how it has affected them. They have been taking the jokes lightly and even making some funny videos feeding into the lore. Mike and Sebie recently made Cameo accounts where they have made around 30k each and promised to donate a chunk to a local charity. Fans will also be delighted to know that all of the TikTok rizz party gang are in the same friend group in real life and not just on the dance floor. However, some drama has surfaced between Turkish Quandale Dingle and Blue Tie Kid on whether or not there is a hierarchy in their real-life friend group and, if so, if Blue Tie Kid is the true leader. Overall, everyone involved seems to be taking the jokes lightly and enjoying the microfame it has gained them in a surprisingly wholesome twist that is unusual for the internet.
TikTok rizz party left as fast as it came. Like many trends, it died down fast and the internet moved on to the next funky video. However, it lives on in the hearts and minds of its audience. Maybe the real TikTok rizz party was the friends we made along the way.
