Objectives

explore how printmaking can be an avenue that they can use to represent their own identities and make meaning of what is important to them
deepen their understanding of how artists use printmaking as a means to convey individual, community/cultural, and national identity
use a combination of visual arts and language arts to create projects
contemplate how artists’ choices reveal some—but perhaps not all—aspects of their own identities

A. Choices: block print, mono print or lino cut. Screen printing is an option if you research the process and demo it for me before completing the project.

B. Planning: find images and sketch to develop ideas.

C. All printmaking supplies will be handed out.
