Objectives

  • explore how printmaking can be an avenue that they can use to represent their own identities and make meaning of what is important to them
  • deepen their understanding of how artists use printmaking as a means to convey individual, community/cultural, and national identity
  • use a combination of visual arts and language arts to create projects
  • contemplate how artists’ choices reveal some—but perhaps not all—aspects of their own identities

Cereal Box Collagraph

This video includes the guidelines for the challenge.

  1. Choose your design from a magazine, newspaper or online.
  2. Draw the image and transfer it to a cereal box(shiny side).
  3. Using the technique of your choosing, transfer the design as a print.
  4. Practice a couple of different options to achieve your desired results.
  5. When complete, upload to your digital portfolio and answer your reflection questions.
