All children will participate in 1 half day active camp and 1 half day creative camp each day.
Creative Camps have 3 rotations each day, which includes a 45min rotation of Literacy and then two selected creative activities.

GUSD Summer Thrive information (2024)
GUSD Summer Thrive will be a 23-day camp experience for current TK-5th GUSD students. All students will participate in two 1/2 day themed camps each day, and four for the summer! All participants will select two Active Camps and two Creative Camps and will be grouped with age alike peers. At the mid-point of the summer program, students will switch to other selected camps.
Current TK students will have the opportunity to participate in KinderCamp. This will be a separate camp for incoming Kdg students only and they will participate in outdoor activities, arts & crafts, dance and play. KinderCamp will take place in the Kindergarten playground and assigned kinder classroom space.

Adult led student groups of 20 students, with a ratios at approx. 10 to 1 for Creative Camps, 20 to 1 for Active Camps, and 10 to 1 for KinderCamp.

Fees
Fee Based Enrollment - $945 (only $41/day)
Fess will be billed at time of registration acceptance/confirmation of enrollment.
Financial Assistance and Discounts
1) 100% No Fee- Financial Aid Based (ELOP/ASES) Enrollment - for families that are pre-approved with qualifying documentation on file. Qualification guidelines met by completing the Education & Nutrition Benefit Form only, not all families will qualify. The Food Service Department determines eligibility after receiving form.

2) 50% Financial Assistance - Family Support Tier
3) 15% Additional Siblings (discount only applied to 2nd/3rd siblings)
Thrive Camp Refund Policy (2024)
To request a refund, the parent/guardian must send a written request via email to Program Manager, Jorge Silva at jsilva@gusd.us
Once the parent/guardian submits a written request for a drop from the Thrive Camp, approved refunds will be issued within 10 working days per the reduction/date schedule below:
Before May 1, 2024 Full refunds + $20 service charge
May 2 - May 14, 2024 75% refund + $20 service charge
May 15 - June 7, 2024 50% refund + $20 service charge
After June 7th, 2024 No Refunds will be offered
