GUSD Summer Thrive information (2026)
GUSD Summer Thrive will be a 31-day camp experience for current TK-5th GUSD students. All students will participate in a full day camp with enrichment, active, and academic courses! All participants will select 4 Creative Camps (class selection not guaranteed) and will be grouped with age alike peers. There will also be one academic rotation of fun math & literacy programming! Students will switch to their second set of enrichment courses on July 2nd.
Current TK students will have the opportunity to participate in KinderCamp. This will be a separate camp for incoming Kdg students only and they will participate in outdoor activities, arts & crafts, dance and play. KinderCamp will take place in the Kindergarten playground and assigned kinder classroom space.
Breakfast, Lunch & afternoon Snack provided
Transportation: begins on Monday, June 15. Must sign-up once enrollment has been confirmed.
Child:Staff Ratio
Adult led student groups of 14 students, with a ratios at approx. 10 to 1 for KinderCamp, 15 to 1 for 1st-5th grade.

Fees
Fee Based Enrollment - $1,275 (31 days of camp)
Fess will be billed at time of registration acceptance/confirmation of enrollment.
Financial Assistance and Discounts
1) 100% No Fee- Financial Aid Based (ELOP/ASES) Enrollment - for families that are pre-approved with qualifying documentation on file. Qualification guidelines met by completing the Education & Nutrition Benefit Form only, not all families will qualify. The Food Service Department determines eligibility after receiving form.

2) 50% Financial Assistance - Family Support Tier
3) 15% Additional Siblings (discount only applied to 2nd/3rd siblings)
Thrive Camp Refund Policy (2026)
To request a refund, the parent/guardian must send a written request via email to Program Manager, Jorge Silva at jsilva@gusd.us
Once the parent/guardian submits a written request for a drop from the Thrive Camp, approved refunds will be issued within 10 working days per the reduction/date schedule below:
Before April 25, 2026 Full refunds + $20 service charge
April 25 - May 8, 2026 75% refund + $20 service charge
May 9 - June 1, 2026 50% refund + $20 service charge
After June 1st, 2026 No Refunds will be offered
