This month, some of the Grade 12 CAS students planned a month full of awareness and activities for our school community that included, reading a daily fact on the PA, a school wide Kahoot, and a fundraising walk to Open Hearth Park (to mention a few). We congratulate our students on their efforts with this project!
In October, our IB Diploma and Certificate students from grades 11 & 12 took part in an "IB Student Welness Day" in the school library. Our school psychologists presented on Stress & The Brain and the school's Health Centre nurse presented about the services available to students. The group then had a session on journaling, time-management, tracking stress, the power of positivity, and goal planning. In the afternoon, students had the choice to attend a paint session or yoga. There was also a Graffiti Board activity that took place throughout the day. We thank all of the students who attended and the teachers for accommodating our students for the day. We also thank Mr. Hawbolt and Mrs. Halfyard for facilitating the afternoon activities!
