Grade 9 Enrichment

Students entering Sydney Academy for Grade 9 are able to attend classes where enrichment will be provided. This is intended for, but not limited to, students who will take SA Pre-IB courses in Grade 10 and then continue on to IB courses in Grades 11 and 12.

Enrichment will be provided in the following subject areas:

English 9
Math 9
Science 9
Citizenship 9

Students coming from French Immersion (Immersion français) or Integrated French (Français intégré) backgrounds, will be able to continue with Integrated French in Grade 9 (enriched) in preparation for further study in IB and Integrated French courses and programs offered in grades 10-12. (See under IB and French).

Français intégré 9
Éducation civique 9

Please note: Students interested in entering SA Pre-IB 10 coming from outside the Sydney Family of Schools geographic area are permitted to come to Sydney Academy for Grade 9 enrichment. Students coming to Sydney Academy in Grade 9 for enrichment from outside the Sydney Family of Schools geographic area are required to return to their base school if they decide to withdraw from Grade 9 enrichment.
