SA Pre-IB 10

It is strongly recommended that students at Sydney Academy who wish to pursue either the IB Diploma or an IB Certificate (Course) take SA Pre-IB courses at the grade 10 level. These courses allow students to develop skills that are essential for success in the IB Programme.

SA Pre-IB courses available to potential IB students at Sydney Academy are offered in the following subject areas:

Language and Literature 10 (formerly SA Pre-IB English 10)
SA Pre-IB Science 10
SA Pre-IB French 10 (may also be taken for the Integrated French Certificate)
Contemporary Canadian Studies 11 (formerly SA Pre-IB History 10)
SA Pre-IB Math 10 (full year)

Potential IB students may also wish to take an Integrated French Certificate (Certificat en français intégré). To do so, a student will take the following courses in Grade 10:

Language and Literature 10 (formerly SA Pre IB English 10)
SA Pre-IB Science 10
Contemporary Canadian Studies 11 (formerly SA Pre-IB History 10)
SA Pre-IB Math 10 (full year)
SA Pre-IB French 10
