Earth day Competition

Green Greetings, Everyone!

Thank you again for being wonderful supporters of your lovely students during the Earth Day celebrations on Wednesday 22nd April.

All student actions are acknowledged and participants have been provided with e-certificates as evidence of their active participation.

As for the winners of the competitions, it was hard to choose just 3 from each category as all the students' efforts achieved high scores. However, in the end, the judges made the tough decisions and selected winners from the English and Indonesian sections in each of the categories.

A big 'Thank You' to Ibu Melanie from Secondary and Ibu Anik from Primary for taking on the difficult roles of Earth Day Judges.

We would also like to thank Hero Supermarket and Periplus for being the sponsors of our competition this year.

Letter to the President

Dear Mr. Jokowi,

Hello Mr. President, how are you doing? Well, good and healthy I hope. I would really appreciate if you are going to read this and I would be honored for you to read this.

Anyways, in this letter, I would like to address my concern about the littering and trash that is happening on our beloved Indonesian land. Right now I am seeing that during the pandemic nobody is littering and are always putting their trash in the correct place but before this, trash was everywhere because so many people were littering and not putting their trash in the correct place. Why is this like that? Is it the rules that are not strict enough? Is it because our Indonesian citizens need to learn more discipline? What is it? I would really like to know about this and would be very thankful for your answer.

I hope you and your family stay strong and healthy throughout this pandemic, please keep on doing the great things you do Mr. President and I thank you from the deepest place in my heart for reading this letter.

Saya Ingin memperkenalkan diri nama saya adalah Shellya Kireina Putri Prabowo Saya dari Sekolah Global Jaya International School.Dan saya berada di kelas 3.

Saya dan Teman Teman dan Keluarga dalam berada sehat.Semoga bapak juga sehat-sehat.

Saya ingin memberitahu kalau ada banyak sekali manusia di Indonesia yang membuang sampah sembarangan.Dan Saya benar-benar prihatin kalau ada manusia yang membuang sampah sembarangan di sekitar kita.Saya ingin memberitahu bapak tentang manusia membuang sampah sembarangan karena saya benar-benar perhatian dan saya kasihan dengan manusia yang membantu mengambil sampah di jalanan. Kalau ada banyak sekali sampah yang tidak berada di tempat yang benar dan kalau begitu sampah bisa menghasilkan polusi.Jadi saya ingin ada dua tempat sampah ditempat sampah Daur ulang dan tempat sampah yang Yang tidak bisa didaur ulang.Semoga tempat Sampah daur ulang dan tempat sampah yang tidak bisa didaur ulang Terjadi.

Surat untuk BAPAK PRESIDEN JOKOWI

Tanggal 20 April 2020

Halo nama saya: Niki dari sekolah globaljaya kelas 3.

Sehubungan dengan situasi dan kondisi terkait penetapan COVID 19,surat ini saya tulis sebagai wujud cinta kami kepada Bapak Presiden beserta jajaran keluarga kami dan seluruh rakyat indonesia menyampaikan bahwa agar setiap negara menghimbau atau mengambil langkah lebih ketat lagi menanganin COVID 19. Mengevakuasi penegahan COVID 19 nasional menjadi 7 langkah sederhana dan tepat yang mudah dipahamin dan diikuti seperti :

Cuci tangan secara berkala dengan sabun dan air bersih
Jaga jarak 1 meter dengan orang lain yang bersin dan batuk
Hindari memengang area muka terutama hidung,mulut dan mata
Tata krama batuk dan bersin yang benar yakni menutup mulut hidung dengan tisue
Tinggal dirumah bila sakit ringan dan datang ke pelayanan kesehatan
Ikut berita terbaru tentang COVID 19
Upayakan menghindari bepergian jauh terutama beresiko

Kami harap COVID 19 cepat berlalu dan kita kembali beraktifitas kembali sepeti biasanya.

Kita hidup di planet ini

Earth day poem by Celine 4a

Nature is great!

I wake up to the sunshine shining through my bedroom window

Outside my flowers are colorful, like violet, rose, and indigo!

My room is full of colors, red, yellow, blue, green, much more!

My home is very natury, from the ceiling to the floor,

I'm supposed to water the plants, and I don’t think it's a chore!

Even though I have a lot of plants and trees, It's always such a breeze!

I like to see my fellow friend, Gary, but today he has a frown, Unless I turn upside down!

If you would like to visit me, make sure you have boots!

If you really want a snack, just pick a fruit!

I make sure to care for my plants, so none of them turn black!

So I have a swell time, In the back.

The sun cheers me up and brings me high in the sky.

And I water the plants while I fly!

My water has run short, but not before making a beautiful rainbow!

I float down below to see a beautiful rose!

I make sure to get water for its soil!

In our family we don't use oil, only cooking oil yes indeed!

We use solar power very much. It is very much agreed.

Earth day, a day of nature

Help clean up dirty water vapor

Earth day is to protect the environment

If you don’t participate it would be a huge embarrassment

Please help the animals, they are dying

If animals go extinct people will start crying

The earth is flooding with pollution

Since we are the cause we have to find the solution

We need to help the people who clean this up

Let’s do this with joy like a baby bear cub

Reuse plastic bottles, cups and bags to prevent making a lot of waste

Earth needs our help to take care of it

Use less electricity, gasoline, and plastic

Scrap papers are to be reused

Everyone should care for our earth

Reduce consumption, waste and pollution

Encourage people around you to save our earth

Do not litter, put trash in trash cans

Underwater, the fish need help too

Share our environment with other living things

Earthworms can help by decomposing soil

Recycle usable items

Eating natural food will make our earth happy

Clean up the trash people drop

You can help too by planting more trees

Choose the right thing to do

Let the sun shine brightly on our earth

Everything that helps the earth will make it live forever and ever
