In product design class, students will explore, experience, and learn about software, materials, and tools to create a product.
In semester one, students learned to create a graphic t-shirt. They learned to use Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and heat press machine. In semester two, students learned about eco-friendly materials and created a product using eco-friendly or recyclable materials.

In this project, students created a flashlight for Ferrari. In the process, students learned to develop a rendered design of a product using Adobe Photoshop and to create a low-fidelity prototype.
In year 8, students learned about perspective drawing and product design sketches. These skills will be the foundation of a product designer.
Design class in Year 7 is teaching the Introduction to Design. It teaches you the Design Cycle as the foundation to Design lesson, all the way to Year 10 and including using the Design Cycle for your Personal Projects.
The Design Cycle is comprised of four steps: Inquiring and Analyzing, Developing Ideas, Creating a Solution and Evaluating. The four steps do not necessarily have to be completed in order, and it's actually encouraged to backtrack and jump around when needed.

Semester 1 | Introduction to Design
In semester 1, students learned to become a designer. They started by identifying and analyzing the problem that they can find in their daily life and tried to solve the problem using design cycle.
