Season 3 continued with another exciting round of fixtures last Saturday, April 18th, as Global Jaya School hosted a series of competitive matches while also sending teams away for league play.
Our U15 boys and girls soccer teams were in action at home, taking on Sekolah Pelita Harapan Lippo Village (SPH-LV) and British School Jakarta. In their opening matches against SPH-LV, both teams showed strong organization and discipline. The boys demonstrated clear progress, securing a confident 3–0 victory, while the girls delivered a solid defensive performance to earn a 0–0 draw.
In their second matches against British School Jakarta, both teams faced a higher level of challenge. The boys showed great resilience, coming back from a 0–2 deficit to finish with a 2–2 draw. The girls once again displayed a strong defensive structure, while also taking more risks in transition and applying pressure in key moments. Despite their efforts, they were up against a very capable opponent and concluded the match with a 1–3 loss result.
At the same time, our Varsity and U15 badminton teams travelled to Sekolah Pelita Harapan Lippo Village for another round of league competition. The U15 boys secured a strong 3–2 win, while the girls narrowly missed out, losing 2–3 in a closely contested match. At the Varsity level, all matches were highly competitive, but both the boys and girls teams fell just short, each losing 2–3.
Although we were not able to secure a place in the Final Four in badminton this season, the overall indicators remain very positive. The teams are closing the gap with other schools and competing more consistently at a high level. With continued development and opportunities to train throughout the year with PB Jaya Raya, the outlook for the future is encouraging.
Season 3 action continued last Monday, with our soccer teams once again competing at Global Jaya School, this time against Australian International School (AIS). In an exciting match, the boys earned a 3–3 draw, showing persistence and attacking quality. The girls created several opportunities and applied consistent pressure, but were unable to overturn a narrow deficit, finishing with a 0–1 result.
Across all fixtures, our student-athletes continue to demonstrate growth, resilience, and commitment, reflecting the positive direction of our programs.
