Dear Global Jaya Community,
We are coming to the end of school year, with our eyes on the prize. The prize, of course, is academic growth and achievement.
Year 10 will transition from their ePortfolios to eAssessments. The schedule is attached. Please remember that students only come for the exam on exam days and then they go home. On the non exam days, students should come to school.
After exams, the year 10 students will have university counseling sessions with our university counselor Ibu Dian (Bu D) and Ibu Dana. Students will learn how to access their UniFrog accounts and get ready for the DP and university options.
Year 9 students are now in the beginning of their mini personal project (mini pp). They are working in groups to make a product to showcase to the GJS community on June 11 in Plaza A and B. New students incoming year 10 students will also be invited to attend and get the chance to meet their new classmates.
Finally, all year 9 and 10 students must complete their MYP Service as Action interviews. These are compulsory for exiting MYP. Please read more about the GJS Service as Action from our Google Site by clicking here. Year 7 and 8 students also need to complete their requirements for service and write their reflections, but they don’t need to complete an exit interview.
Year 7 students will soon begin a book talk presentation during MYP Core. Students will go to the library to check out a book and then present it to their class. Ask you child - What are you reading?
Finally, we are all getting ready and excited to welcome the new Year 6 students to MYP. GJS teachers are working hard to plan new units for our students that align with the Year 7 curriculum.
We welcome parents to send any questions or feedback about the MYP Programme to Ibu Sue at sue@globaljaya.com.
Take care until next month!
Ibu Sue
