Anything which is happening to a learner that puts them at risk. This includes risk of psychological, physical, sexual, financial abuse and or neglect. It would include grooming, physical attack and being forced to do something that you don’t want to do. It may include bullying.
It could take place at home, at college/ training, in the workplace, with friends, online, in the street; anywhere. We and our Work Based Learning partners have procedures in place to support our learners:
What we would do if we think learners are being harmed (or likely to be harmed).
What should be done if a learner thinks someone else is being harmed.
What we do if we think a learner is about to harm someone else.
What we need to do, to keep learners and others safe.
