COMPUTER EQUIPMENT

• Adjunct Faculty who do not have the use of their own computer may be eligible for use of a laptop through GFU's Institutional Technology (I.T.) department. Contact gsc@georgefox.edu for information on how to process your request.

• Full-time faculty will be contacted by I.T. regarding computer preferences (MAC or PC) during the onboarding process and can make arrangements for pick up at the Newberg Campus or Portland Center.

TECHNOLOGY IN THE CLASSROOM:  Andy Lockhart is the Portland Center representative for IT and is available to help with technical assistance at servicedesk@georgefox.edu or by calling 503-554-2569. The IT staff prides itself in keeping the media equipment in the classrooms in good repair and ready for you to use when you arrive to teach a class, so please REPORT ANY ISSUES WITH EQUIPMENT TO THE IT SERVICE DEPARTMENT ASAP.   

Issues would include the following:

• “Clean Filter” message appears on the projector you are using

• A bulb burns out in a projector

• Any issues with the sound system or podium

Each faculty member is issued a University Zoom Pro account that can be accessed through the "Zoom" tile when logged in to https://login.georgefox.edu
