When a student enrolls in a class, they are automatically added to the class rosters found in your My.GeorgeFox (Peoplesoft) account as well as in Canvas.
IMPORTANT: Students may add or drop your course into the first two weeks of the semester, so be sure you are using the most current roster when communicating with your students.

To access a class roster with student photos and program, follow these instructions
To email your students through a class roster, use the check box to select some or all students then click on "Notify Selected Students" to activate an email field.
In your Canvas course site, just click on People to see the updated roster.
To email students from your course in Canvas, use the Announcements feature. In Canvas, click on “Announcements” then “+Announcement” to create your message. Click “Save” to send immediately or use the “Delay Posting” option to select a day and time for your announcement to be sent.
Waitlists
Occasionally your class enrollment will be full and there will be students on the waitlist (see https://class.georgefox.edu) Waitlists are reviewed regularly by the department administrative assistant and decisions on increasing enrollment limits are up to the Department Chair. Please direct any student inquiries to the department administrative assistant (jfreitag@georgefox.edu) Please DO NOT allow students to attend your class unless they appear on your class roster as enrolled.
Important information About Your Class Roster: If a student attends class, but their name does not appear on the class roster, contact Kirby Killen, Enrollment Counselor, at 503-554-6103 or kkillen@georgefox.edu right away. Discrepancies should be resolved by the second day of class for courses that meet weekly and for the entire semester. For courses that are fully online, hybrid, or meet for a shorter session, please report discrepancies by the first day of the session (not necessarily the first day the course meets). Students may not receive credit for the course if not properly enrolled, and will have to re-take the class.
