Digital Design Yearbook is a semester-long, one-credit technology course focused on producing the school yearbook. This class combines digital photography, graphic design, and publishing skills, providing students with hands-on experience in capturing and curating visual stories that represent the school year. As part of the course, students will learn essential photography techniques, including composition, lighting, and photo editing, to create compelling images for the yearbook.
This course counts toward elective technology credits and is designed for students who demonstrate a high level of maturity and the ability to work independently. It aims to develop foundational skills needed for careers in the digital publishing and media industries, emphasizing creativity, technical proficiency, and teamwork.
This course is designed to develop students' physical fitness, sportsmanship, and teamwork, while fostering an understanding of the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. As a Christian school, we intentionally integrate biblical principles throughout the curriculum, emphasizing virtues such as respect, integrity, and stewardship of the body—recognizing it as a gift from God. Students will be encouraged to honor their bodies through physical activity and positive character development, reflecting the values we uphold as a community.

Semester – Middle School Music Class:
In this class, students will explore the world of music through a blend of music theory, music production, worship music, and hands-on instruction with various instruments. No previous musical experience is required, as students will be introduced to foundational skills that will help them grow as musicians, whether they are brand new to music or looking to strengthen their abilities. The class is designed to be engaging, creative, and practical, giving students the opportunity to learn and make music together.

In this semester-long course, students will explore a wide range of art techniques and mediums. They will develop skills in drawing, painting, mixed media, pottery, and more. This class is great for students of all skill levels. This course emphasizes creativity, technical skill, self-expression, and choice within projects.
STEM Elective: Critical Thinking & Design
This hands-on elective invites middle school students to explore Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics through engaging projects that emphasize the engineering design process and critical thinking skills. Students will tackle real-world problems by researching, brainstorming, prototyping, and testing innovative solutions. The course fosters creativity, collaboration, and resilience by encouraging students to learn from failure and iterate their designs. By the end of the year, students will have developed strong problem-solving abilities, and a growth mindset essential for future STEM success.

Middle School and Reporting: ASB and Reporting is a club that coordinates all middle school activities. ASB officers will be voted on in the fall and they will play a key role in shaping the direction of the club and supporting its initiatives.
MS ASB students will have the opportunity to design, interview and report school announcements and learn to create a reporting video that will be presented school wide, every Monday.
Students in ASB & Reporting will develop essential skills in planning, communication, and organization. Participation includes helping with school events, setting up for dances, and assisting in event planning.
