The course content is divided into eight Key Ideas, tracing the human experience in the United States from pre-Columbian times until the Civil War, with a focus on the significant people, events, and places. Throughout the course, students make connections across time to compare the past to the present.
Fundamentals of Math (AKA 7th Grade Math):
Fundamentals of Math provides the middle school student with a solid foundation of the basics of mathematics. Students review operations using integers and rational numbers and are introduced to foundational concepts of algebra, geometry, probability, and statistics. Throughout the text, a biblical worldview is emphasized when interpreting data and making related decisions. This course provides a bridge from elementary math to Pre-Algebra and helps the students understand that God’s design in creation allows the world to be described using mathematics.
Mr. Couch
Middle School Bible class provides students with a systematic study of the Bible and its major themes, guiding them to understand Scripture as a unified story centered on Creation, Fall, and Redemption. Students learn to use Bible study tools, such as cross-references and concordances, and develop skills in observation, interpretation, and application of biblical texts.
The curriculum covers key areas including an overview of the Old Testament, the life of Christ, and foundational Bible doctrines. Students are encouraged to see how the Old and New Testaments connect, and to apply biblical truths to their daily lives. Lessons emphasize the development of a biblical worldview, critical thinking, and the ability to explain and defend their faith in today’s culture.
Through activities, discussions, and Scripture memory, students grow in their knowledge and love for God, learning to live out biblical principles with character and purpose. The course aims to equip students for personal spiritual growth, informed discipleship, and effective communication of their beliefs to others.
Life Science for 7th Grade is a comprehensive course that introduces students to the study of living organisms and their environments through a biblical worldview. The curriculum covers foundational topics such as cell biology, genetics, the history of life, microbiology, botany, zoology, ecology, and human anatomy and physiology. Students learn to appreciate the complexity and design of life, exploring scientific concepts while considering ethical issues and the relationship between science and faith.
The course uses engaging features such as colorful images, guided questions, vocabulary highlights, lab work, hands-on projects, and experiments to reinforce learning. Students participate in both worksheet-based activities and hands-on investigations, developing skills in observation, data recording, analysis, and problem-solving. Special sections in the curriculum encourage critical thinking, connect science to real-life situations, and prompt students to consider the impact of worldview on scientific understanding.

7th Grade English Language Arts—Writing is a course designed to develop thoughtful and skilled writers. The class focuses on the storyline of each book, while building vocabulary, spelling, comprehension, and composition skills. Students will be prepared for each chapter, and comprehension questions will encourage them to think critically about what they have read and to identify key content in each story.
In addition to literature, the course emphasizes information literacy, research, and critical thinking. Students will explore elements of literature and various text structures, and practice writing in multiple forms, including informational/expository and argument writing. The curriculum aims to strengthen students’ ability to analyze texts, express ideas clearly, and become confident, effective communicators.
A music appreciation class generally focuses on understanding and enjoying music from a variety of genres, time periods, and cultures. You'll likely study the history of music, learn about different musical instruments, composers, and the elements that make up music like rhythm, melody, and harmony.

This course is designed for students and intended to be 9 weeks in length. The purpose of this course is to provide a foundation of knowledge, skills, and values necessary for the development of a physically active lifestyle. The course content provides exposure to a variety of movement opportunities and experiences which includes, but is not limited to: Fitness Activities and Team Sports. The integration of fitness concepts throughout the content is critical to student success in this course and in the development of a healthy and physically active lifestyle.
STEM topics in technology, engineering and innovations. Students will be creating board games as part of their STEM engineering.

In this 9 week course, students are introduced to the elements of art and color theory. They will explore drawing, painting, sculpting, and more. The class is sectioned into mini-units covering different mediums of art. Students will express their creativity through engaging projects and will improve their skills, whether they are beginners or more advanced artists.
