9th Grade
This course incorporates three main English Language Arts components--literature, writing, and grammar.
Fundamentals of Literature conveys the literature’s foundational elements of conflict, character, theme, point of view, structure and tone. You will also be introduced to literary criticism and are encouraged to read and analyze literature in light of a Christian worldview. You will also be reading 1 novel per semester.
Writing and Grammar 9 will equip you to craft intentional and effective communication through systematic grammar instruction and application of grammar skills to speaking and writing. You will be given ample opportunities to connect the grammar skills you’re learning to the texts you’re crafting. You will also be completing 1 literary analysis per semester on the novel read that semester.

Topics that will be studied include: matter, the periodic table, elements, mixtures, compounds, chemical reactions, light and electromagnetic spectrum, energy, heat, motion, Newton's laws and momentum.
Major topics of study include: evaluation of algebraic equations, exponent rules and manipulation, polynomials, solving and graphing linear equations, solving and graphing two variable inequalities, solving systems of equations, radicals, word problems, solving and graphing quadratic equations, and factoring.

High School Bible Class
High School Bible is a course designed to equip students with biblical literacy, strong Bible study skills, and a firm understanding of biblical doctrine to help them grow in their relationship with Christ. Through systematic study of Scripture, students explore the overarching biblical narrative of Creation, Fall, and Redemption, and learn to interpret and apply God’s Word to their lives.
The course emphasizes developing a biblical worldview, enabling students to evaluate other beliefs, defend their faith, and engage culture with truth and love. Students will study key Bible doctrines, ethical principles, and the lives of biblical characters, while also learning to harmonize Scripture with contemporary issues in science, history, government, and the arts.
Class activities include reading, discussion, journaling, quizzes, projects, and case studies that encourage critical thinking and application of biblical truths. The course fosters spiritual growth, character development, and equips students to clearly explain and live out their Christian faith in everyday life.
Ninth grade health curriculum provides students with an understanding of what it means to be healthy. It addresses how physical, mental, and emotional well-being are connected. A major emphasis is placed on mental health, where students learn about stress management, emotional regulation, and strategies for maintaining a positive mindset. The curriculum also covers violence prevention and anger management, equipping students with conflict resolution skills and techniques to handle challenging situations safely and constructively.
Students receive practical training in general first aid and CPR procedures, enabling them to respond effectively in emergency situations and potentially save lives. The course also includes a thorough study of human reproduction and contraception, providing accurate information to help students make responsible decisions regarding their health and relationships.
Throughout the course, students engage in discussions, hands-on activities, and real-life scenarios to apply their knowledge. The curriculum is designed to empower students with the practical skills and critical thinking needed to make informed, healthy choices in their daily lives, fostering lifelong habits that support overall well-being.
