High School ASB
Mrs. Thurston
ASB Club meets every Wednesday before school from 6:30 to 7:30 am. The club is responsible for coordinating all school activities. ASB officers play a key role in shaping the direction of the club and supporting its initiatives.
Students in ASB develop essential skills in planning, communication, and organization. Participation includes helping with school events, setting up for dances, and assisting in event planning. Being involved in school leadership not only builds valuable experience but can also strengthen college recommendations. Members are expected to actively contribute to the success of various school functions and uphold a strong sense of responsibility and teamwork.
Drama Club meets every Wednesday after school from 3:30 to 5:30 PM and is open to all middle and high school students interested in exploring the world of theater. This club offers a creative and supportive environment where students can develop a wide range of skills including acting, stage presence, voice projection, improvisation, and backstage production techniques such as lighting, sound, and set design.
Throughout the year, members will collaborate to produce two full-scale theater presentations—one in the fall and one in the spring. These productions provide students with hands-on experience in all aspects of theater, from auditioning and rehearsing to performing in front of a live audience. Participation in Drama Club helps build confidence, teamwork, communication skills, and a deeper appreciation for the performing arts.
Whether you’re a seasoned performer or new to drama, this club welcomes you to discover your talents, make new friends, and be part of exciting theatrical experiences. Specific dates for rehearsals and performances will be shared as the school year progresses.
