1st Semester
Using a Christian worldview the 1st semester this course will look at the government of the United States starting with its history and foundations in the various forms of government found around the world. We will explore the primary documents used by the founding fathers and analyze how these documents are still relative to us today.

2nd Semester
Using a Christian worldview the 2nd semester of this course will break apart and take a deep dive of the branches of government to see how the civic life works in the U.S. By the end of the course the student should be able to understand politics, political systems, and how to function as informed, responsible citizens in their community, state, and nation.

High School Bible Class
High School Bible is a course designed to equip students with biblical literacy, strong Bible study skills, and a firm understanding of biblical doctrine to help them grow in their relationship with Christ. Through systematic study of Scripture, students explore the overarching biblical narrative of Creation, Fall, and Redemption, and learn to interpret and apply God’s Word to their lives.
The course emphasizes developing a biblical worldview, enabling students to evaluate other beliefs, defend their faith, and engage culture with truth and love. Students will study key Bible doctrines, ethical principles, and the lives of biblical characters, while also learning to harmonize Scripture with contemporary issues in science, history, government, and the arts.
Class activities include reading, discussion, journaling, quizzes, projects, and case studies that encourage critical thinking and application of biblical truths. The course fosters spiritual growth, character development, and equips students to clearly explain and live out their Christian faith in everyday life.
British Literature uses a historical survey approach to explore Britain’s literary heritage. Students will engage with key texts and authors from the Middle Ages to contemporary times, examining how historical events and cultural movements have shaped literary ideas and influenced both British and American culture. Literature is studied from a biblical perspective, with analysis of each author’s and era’s worldview in light of biblical truth. Students will read one novel per semester.
Writing and Grammar 12 deepens understanding of English grammar and enhances proficiency through engaging instruction and varied writing projects, including informative essays, personal narratives, descriptive writing, creative writing, persuasive essays, and research writing. Each semester, students will complete a literary analysis based on the novel studied.
Senior Project: In accordance with Idaho graduation requirements, students will also complete a Senior Project as part of this course. This project is designed to demonstrate college or career readiness by applying skills and knowledge gained throughout high school to a significant research, creative, or service-based project. The Senior Project encourages independent learning, critical thinking, and real-world application, and is a graduation requirement for all Idaho public high school students.

Using a Christian worldview this semester-long course will introduce students to the fundamentals of macro and micro-economics, providing a foundation for understanding how individuals, businesses, and governments make choices in a world scarcity. The students will explore concepts of economics such as economic models, values, supply and demand, economic systems, market structures, and the role of government in the economy. This class will connect economic concepts to the students through real-world applications and current events. By the end of the course the students should be able to understand economic terms, ideas, concepts, and how these coupled with the government applies to their everyday lives.
Personal Finance is a course designed to help students understand the impact of individual choices on financial goals and future earnings potential. Topics covered will include income, money management, spending and credit, as well as saving and investing. Students will design budgets, demonstrate knowledge of finance, debt, and credit management, and evaluate and understand insurance and taxes. This course will provide a foundational understanding for making informed personal financial decisions.
