Key Stage 2 is the phase of primary education for students in Year 3-6. Here at WIS we split this phase into two. Year 3 and 4 which is in our Lower School and Year 5 and 6 which is part of our Middle school. You may sometime see this being referred to as Lower Key stage 2 (Year 3-4) and Upper Key Stage 2 (Year 5-6).

Furthermore, we also include the Ministry of Education subjects which are; Arabic, Islamic Studies and Moral, Social and Cultural Studies as well as an additional Performing Arts lesson from year 4 onwards with a focus on Drama and Dance.
GEMS Wellington International School offers the National Curriculum for England (NCfE) in Key Stage 3 (Years 7-9). Our curriculum is aspirational, challenging, personalised and inclusive. A diverse range of personalised pathways, qualifications, and subjects are offered in Key Stage 3.
Students in Years 7 and 8 of the Middle School will have the opportunity to begin to tailor their education through exploring their passions and interests through Elective Subjects. In Year 7 students will study all subjects on a rotation throughout the year. In Year 8 students will study three Elective Subjects, one per term. The Electives are designed to give enriching and exciting opportunities leading to new careers and pathways, these subjects include: Design Technology, Food and Nutrition, Art, Music, Drama, Entrepreneurship, Emerging Technology and Sustainable Design.
The curriculum across Year 7 and Year 8 is regularly reviewed incorporating the views of our students, leading to new subjects and pathways that impact academic outcomes as well as personal development, learning needs, and interests. In addition, an extensive EEE (Explore, Enrich Excite) Programme and opportunities for social contribution allow students to extend their learning and interests outside of the classroom.
