We look forward to you joining the WIS Community. In advance, please look over the requests on this page and complete all the necessary steps. This will ease the transition in joining us and allow you to focus your attention on your child and their experience during the first few weeks of this new experience.
The KHDA registration is a mandatory requirement and must be completed before your child can start school.
Further information on the Transfer Certificate and attestation requirements can be found on our website.
GEMS Wellington International School has outsourced the school transport service to School Transport Services LLC (STS). STS operates the bus fleet maintaining exceptional safety standards and strictly following the specifications and regulations laid down by the Road Transport Authority of Dubai. STS is managed by experienced professionals who have a long track record of safe transportation to students. STS works closely with the school administration team to ensure that parents and students receive the best service possible.
You can view the STS rates here.
Personal presentation is therefore very important and a high standard of personal appearance is expected of all students at all times, both inside the School and outside in the local community. The students are our ambassadors when they are in the Dubai community and, what they do and say, and how they look reflects on all of us. Students will continue to create a positive impression of GEMS Wellington International School by leaving school in their uniform and wearing it with pride.
The uniform is compulsory throughout the School and may be purchased from any Threads store or ordered online via: www.threadsme.com.
Please ensure each item of uniform is labelled with your child's name and class in case this is misplaced throughout the school day.
Our uniform, and the high standards of it, is something our students are proud to wear. We believe that the correct uniform makes us ready to learn.
This is our Core Uniform ONLY the Winterwear can be worn with our core uniform. PE Hoodies are not to be worn with Core Uniform.
The aim of our uniform is to ensure that students take pride in being members of the GEMS Wellington International School community.
All parents who wish to enter the school building must wear the appropriate yellow parent lanyard. When the yellow lanyard is not displayed, guests will be stopped by security and may be denied access to school.
If you already have a student at school and own a parent lanyard, you will still be required to update this with new student details.
To apply for a yellow lanyard, please complete this form and either drop if off with our Security Team or email it to s.thomas1_wis@gemsedu.com in preparation for your first day.
Students in Years 10 -13 and above have the option to use the cafeteria or bring a home lunch. More information can be found here.
Students who wish to bring in a packed lunch should bring healthy and well balanced food to school. It must be noted that the school operates a strict no nuts policy (including Nutella) to ensure we maximise student safety in relation to allergies. In line with Muslim values and respect for local culture we also do not allow pork products into school.
To ensure a smooth transition into school, we wanted to take this time to highlight to you that as per our school policy, fees must be settled prior to the beginning of each term. Without this being completed, unfortunately children will be unable to attend school. School fees can be paid in school at our cashier’s office, via GEMS connect or via bank transfer using these details.
Please get in touch with our reception team on reception_wis@gemsedu.com for assistance with the log-in details, if you have not yet received these, or our cashiers office if you have any further questions on cashier_wis@gemsedu.com.
You can use your GEMS FAB Mastercard to pay your annual tuition fees in advance and SAVE 4.25% on GEMS school fees. Read more here.
