Leadership development is an ongoing process engaging the mind and body.
Develop confident students who understand, appreciate, and apply leadership knowledge, skills, and strategies throughout their lives and through media arts projects.
Students will acquire habits that lead to deeper understanding of themselves and their world.
Through volunteerism, students will develop a connection with their school and their community; therefore, enhancing their ability to be a positive contributing member of society.
Understanding our strengths, weaknesses, and personal preferences helps us plan and achieve our goals.
This course is designed to instruct students in the various methods and techniques for planning, implementing and evaluating projects related to school activities. Topics include public speaking, communication, teamwork, management skills, self-awareness, human relations and promotion and staging of school events.
An essential part of this class is active “hands on, minds on” experiential learning. In this course students should further develop the skills they currently possess and take the opportunity to acquire new ones. It is through the activities and programs that are run by the class that the students will learn and practice the concepts and skills of leadership. A positive attitude and active participation are essential in this course.
