What Do Sports Mean To You?
For some people sports don't mean a lot. They think it's just a game. Some people play for fun or to stay in shape, but for some people, sports are way more than that.
In the 8th grade community some think that sports mean having sisterhood, happiness, building friendships with others, and working with new people. For some people it means everything to them.
Some things that sports have benefited them with are taking their mind off things, making them a better person, being a better leader, gaining friendships, and much more.
For reasons other than playing sports to stay in shape and for fun they think that people should play sports because it gives you more opportunities to try new things and helps you build friendships inside and outside of school and helps with people's mental health. Sports can also help you learn team building skills.
As you can see, for some members of the Glen-Hills 8th grade community, sports mean way more to them than just a fun game. Over 85% people play sports in the 8th grade, so you can take their word for it.
