A disaster management workshop was held on 5th July 2025 at GD Goenka Public School, Gurugram, to train teachers in emergency preparedness. The session covered fire safety protocols, precautionary measures, and demonstrated safe evacuation methods, including moving unconscious individuals. Teachers learned to avoid elevators during fire and identify safe zones. An informational video reinforced key practices. The workshop proved highly informative, boosting staff confidence to manage crises effectively and ensure school safety.
Technology Integration in Education
On July 23, 2025, an online workshop on “Technology Integration in Education” was conducted by Dr. Kshma Swarnkar, focusing on AI as an “Assistive Instructor.” She highlighted how AI can personalize learning, automate routine tasks, and enhance student engagement. Educators from GD Goenka and beyond actively participated, discussing practical applications. The session emphasized that thoughtful AI integration improves teaching effectiveness, promotes inclusivity, and empowers educators to foster creative, engaging classrooms.
“Vartah” National Counselor Summit
The “Vartah” National Counselor Summit, held on July 25–26, 2025 at GD Goenka University in collaboration with Fortis Hospital, brought together counselors from across India. Sessions by experts like Dr. Samir Parikh, Dr. Kamna Chhibber, and others explored media’s influence on youth, digital addictions, parental mediation, and body image issues. Through panels, talks, and reflections, the summit emphasized responsible narratives, media literacy, and the vital role of counselors in supporting youth mental well-being.
Navigating Science - The CBSE Way
On April 22, 2024, GD Goenka schools nationwide attended a two-hour interactive workshop on Physics led by Dr. Urvashi Raina and Ms. Kawalmeet Reen. The session emphasized lesson planning, learning objectives, and fostering scientific temperament. Discussions covered CBSE’s evolving patterns, common student errors, reduced derivations in grade 12, and strategies for competency-based and case study questions. With active participation and a Q&A, the workshop proved highly enriching, enhancing teachers’ pedagogical insights and classroom effectiveness.
School Safety & Emergency Preparedness
An online session on School Safety and Emergency Preparedness was organised by team GD Goenka for school heads and administration staff on August 18, 2025. The session covered campus safety, transport safety, child protection, staff training, and security measures. Key topics included POSH, POCSO, Anti-Bullying, Disaster Management, and Road Safety. Participants were guided on SOPs, committee formation, and documentation. The session concluded with an engaging Q&A, emphasizing a safe, inclusive school environment.
Oxford Educate Onboarding
A workshop on Oxford Educate Onboarding was held on August 4, 2025, for G.D. Goenka Public School teachers. Led by Ms. Vinita Sareen, it focused on effective use of the Oxford Teachers’ Manual, curriculum, and lesson plans. Strategies for planning, classroom engagement, and aligning learning outcomes were shared. The interactive session highlighted digital and print resources, clarified queries, and empowered teachers with practical tools to enrich teaching and enhance impactful, holistic education.
FESTIVE CELEBRATION
On September 30, 2025, the staff of G.D. Goenka Public School came together to celebrate Navratri with enthusiasm and festive spirit, ahead of the Dussehra break on October 1 and 2. The celebration included traditional music, dance, and vibrant decorations, fostering camaraderie and joy among the team. The event provided a cheerful platform for staff to connect, celebrate culture, and usher in the festive season with positivity and togetherness.

TEACHER’S DAY CELEBRATION
