At G D Goenka Public School , Sector 48 , Excellence is a journey, a mindset, a way of life . The Goenkans are nurtured in a caring environment and equipped with skills for life. Over the years they are trained to develop an approach and attitude of continuous improvement, resilience and to always give their best in all situations and circumstances. A strong value system , problem solving approach, ethics, determination to strive for the best and ‘never giving up spirit’ makes the Goenkans ‘Change makers’ and strong future leaders.
During this academic session , the focus is to further strengthen in our Goenkans the qualities of resilience , persistence, adaptability, and an unwavering commitment to growth.
The academic session commenced with warmly welcoming the Goenkans to their new class and this was followed by the model assembly presented by the teachers on the theme for the session ‘Excellence – a way of life’ . The Goenkans were taken through detailed subject narrations as part of the school's philosophy of empowering all stakeholders and ensuring that we all walk together - knowing the way and going the way.
Parent Orientation sessions, Class inductions for parents were organized in the month of April for parents of classes III to VIII . Parent teacher meeting gave an opportunity to the parents to connect with the class teacher and understand the academic plan for the session.
In these two months , middle wing has been buzzing with activities and competitions .
The Middle wing Goenkans presented ten special assemblies in April and May 2025, participated in intra- house and inter – house competitions , enthusiastically participated in a range of club activities, Value Education sessions , Art integrated learning activities, Stem based sessions by ICT 360 , Stemplify , Makerspace , Go sharpener workshops and several sports and activity skills training sessions.
Extended Sports Training Programme in the morning hours for sports training and sports trials had enthusiastic Goenkans participating with love for sports.
The theme for the Skill training sessions during COEP –Centre Of Excellence Programme 2025 was “Navigating Volatility– Adapt, Grow, Lead.” This five day immersive summer camp was designed to nurture curiosity, equip them with skills to handle challenging situations and difficulties.
We are sure that this dynamic learning environment of the school will make them Future Ready and ensure that they make a difference with their positive outlook and growth mindset.

The Orientation Day for new admissions was more than an introduction—it was a purposeful beginning. Spearheaded by the school leadership and enriched by the Headmistress’s insightful address, the session offered parents a deep dive into a learning environment that values innovation, excellence, and empathy. From ICLP to Makerspace and Harmony, the school’s unique programs were highlighted. The event built trust, inspired confidence, and aligned families with the institution’s vision of nurturing responsible, future-ready global citizens.

Familiarization Day 2025–26
April 1 marked more than just the start of a new session—it welcomed new admissions into a world where education is innovation and learning is a lifelong pursuit. The Familiarization Day offered students and parents a glimpse into the school’s vision, curriculum, learning spaces, and values-driven culture. Interactive classroom activities, a guided tour of academic and co-curricular zones, and sessions with faculty created a warm, informed, and inspiring introduction. Designed to ease transitions and spark confidence, the day laid a strong foundation for meaningful engagement, empowering learners to thrive from the very first step.
PATHWAYS TO PURPOSE
On 2nd April 2025, the first Middle Wing Model Assembly set a powerful precedent for the year ahead. Curated and presented by teachers, the session was a compelling showcase of discipline, creativity, and the pursuit of excellence. Through reflective thoughts, news updates, a motivational talk, and a stirring theatrical presentation, the assembly echoed the school's commitment to meaningful learning. Led by the Headmistress Ms. Shalini Tandon and addressed by Principal Mrs. Anuradha Handa, the event redefined assemblies—not as routines, but as moments of transformation and purpose.
SUBJECT NARRATIONS A ROADMAP FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR
At the beginning of every academic session, subject teachers take students through detailed subject narrations, providing them with a comprehensive overview of each subject’s essentials. These presentations highlight the key focus areas, learning objectives, and the path ahead in every discipline. By offering clear insights into the curriculum, the teachers empower students to set goals, stay motivated, and approach each subject with confidence. This structured introduction lays the foundation for a year of purposeful learning and academic growth.
UNLEASHING POTENTIAL
ONE COMPETITION AT A TIME
On 4th April 2025, the Inter-House Competitions for Classes III–V were officially launched, igniting a spirit of enthusiasm and healthy rivalry. Students were given a clear insight into the range of competitions across Sports, Literary, Art & Culture, and Science & Technology. They were guided on selecting one competition per term, allowing them to explore interests and showcase talents. With wholehearted participation and excitement in the air, the stage was set for a vibrant year of creativity, collaboration, and spirited excellence.
UNLOCKING HORIZONS: A NEW CHAPTER IN LEARNING BEGINS
CLASS III ORIENTATION SESSION – 05 APRIL, 2025
On 5th April 2025, Class III parents participated in a dynamic Orientation Session that provided insights into the academic path, teaching methods, and co-curricular opportunities for the year. Founder Principal Ms. Anuradha Handa and Headmistress Ms. Shalini Tandon emphasized the importance of independence, curiosity, and character-building. Parents engaged in discussions with Class Teachers, gaining clarity on classroom expectations. The session reinforced the school’s commitment to holistic development and empowered parents to actively support their child’s learning journey.
CLASS IV ORIENTATION SESSION – 05 APRIL, 2025
The Class IV Orientation Session on 5th April 2025 offered parents a glimpse into the academic journey their children will undertake. Parents met with Class Teachers to discuss expectations, routines, and the year’s goals. The session underscored the school’s commitment to academic excellence and character development, ensuring parents felt aligned and prepared to support their child's educational experience.
CLASS V ORIENTATION – 12 APRIL 2025
On 12th April 2025, parents of Class V witnessed the inspiring launch of the International English Language Skilling Program, introduced by UK-based educationist Ms. Sanjana Seth. Held in the auditorium, this powerful beginning set the tone for a year focused on confident expression and global communication. Following the session, Class Teachers presented the academic roadmap, offering insights into learning milestones, co-scholastic goals, and classroom ethos. Led by Principal Ms. Anuradha Handa and Headmistress Ms. Shalini Tandon, the day reflected a shared vision of shaping curious, capable, and articulate learners.
CYCLE 1 OF HOUSE COMPETITIONS FOR CLASSES III–V KICKS OFF WITH ENTHUSIASM
Cycle 1 of House Competitions for Classes III–V began on 16th April 2025, setting a lively tone for a series of creative and spirited events. In alignment with The Bard’s Feast, competitions such as Folk Song (Music), Swimming, Badminton, and the English Shakespearean Tableau brought students together in vibrant participation. The Intra-House book cover-making contest, centered around Shakespeare’s works, added a creative flair. With the grand finale scheduled for 14th May, students eagerly embraced each opportunity to showcase their talent, creativity, and teamwork.
TAGORE HOUSE TRIUMPHS IN HOUSE COMPETITIONS 2024-25
The results for last year’s House Competitions were declared with much excitement—Tagore House emerged victorious, celebrating a year of excellence, teamwork, and unwavering spirit. The overwhelming participation and learning throughout the year made this victory even more special, showcasing the spirit of collaboration, effort, and dedication from all students.
THE BARD'S FEST
A CELEBRATION OF SHAKESPEARE
The Bard's Fest was launched on 23rd April, celebrating the timeless legacy of Shakespeare. The festivities included the Inter-House Twist-a-Tale competition, Intra-House contests, and numerous class activities designed to honor and learn about the great playwright. The corridors came alive with Shakespearean quotes from his famous plays, creating an immersive environment where students could engage with his works in creative and meaningful ways. The event ignited enthusiasm and sparked a deeper appreciation for Shakespeare’s enduring influence.
IGNITING CONFIDENCE
A STEP TOWARDS SELF-BELIEF
On April 24, 2025, Class 4D’s assembly focused on the powerful theme of "Building Confidence and Self-Belief." Through a blend of inspiring poetry, thought-provoking skits, and vibrant student participation, the session emphasized the importance of self-trust, resilience, and growth. Students were encouraged to embrace challenges, learn from mistakes, and build leadership qualities. Headmistress Ms. Shalini Tandon’s words of encouragement reinforced the values of perseverance and self-belief, setting the tone for a positive and empowering journey ahead.
ROOTED IN HABITS, GROWING IN EXCELLENCE
Class 3B Assembly | May 1, 2025
Class 3B brought the theme “Good Habits Lead to Excellence” to life with an engaging blend of skit, quiz, and a creative tree-building activity that celebrated everyday virtues. Their spirited dance and thoughtful participation left the audience inspired. Through simple yet meaningful acts, students reflected on values like cleanliness, punctuality, kindness, and responsibility. The assembly earned warm appreciation from Headmistress Ms. Shalini Tandon for capturing the message with clarity and charm.
THE POWER OF EFFORT AND POSITIVE MINDSET
On May 6th, 2025 the students of class 5B presented a meaningful and uplifting assembly on the theme “The Power of Effort and Positive Mindset.” The assembly began with powerful affirmations that encouraged self-belief and determination followed by prayer, motivational thoughts in English and Sanskrit. The highlight was a well-acted skit showing how consistent effort and a positive mindset can transform challenges into success. It delivered a strong message in a relatable and creative way. The assembly concluded with encouraging words from Headmistress Shalini Ma’am, who praised the class for their confidence, teamwork, and understanding of such a valuable life lesson.
PHASE- 2 CLUB PRESENTATION SAVE THE PLANET EARTH
On May 7, 2025, the students of Grade IV showcased an impressive collaborative project on various types of pollution—soil, air, water, and noise. Working in teams of four, each group explored the causes and effects of their assigned type of pollution. Their in-depth research came alive through creative presentations featuring models, collages, drawings, skits, and original poems. The students displayed exceptional confidence, teamwork, and awareness, proving that young minds can think critically and act responsibly for a cleaner, greener future.
3 P’S OF EXCELLENCE
PRACTICE, PATIENCE AND PERSISTENCE
On May 8, 2025, Class 4E presented their assembly on the topic “3 P’s of Excellence – Practice, Patience, and Persistence.” Through this unique and inspiring theme, the class conducted the assembly in a beautiful and engaging manner. There was enthusiasm, motivation, and energy in every performance.
The students gracefully conveyed how practice leads to perfection, how patience is essential in achieving one’s goals, and how persistence helps overcome failures. The audience was captivated throughout—be it during the soulful prayer hymns, the impactful skit, the interactive quiz, or the power-packed dance performance.
The assembly was highly appreciated by the audience and Headmistress Ms. Shalini Tandon, who praised the class for their confident presentations and the powerful message delivered.
GO SHARPENER SESSION
THE ORAL HYGIENE
On 13th May 2025, a highly informative Go Sharpener session on oral hygiene was conducted for the students of Classes 3 and 4. The session was led by Dr. Rhythm, a practicing dentist, who engaged the students with an interactive and insightful presentation on the importance of oral hygiene and how to care for their teeth.
She discussed various methods for maintaining oral health in an age-appropriate and engaging manner. The children showed great interest, actively listening and asking questions throughout the session. A short animated movie on dental care was also shown, adding an element of fun to learning.
Dr. Rhythm concluded the session with a Q&A round, where students answered confidently and were rewarded with small oral care takeaways. The session was both educational and enjoyable for the children.
CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE PROGRAM
The Centre of Excellence Program (COEP) 2025 for Classes 3 to 5 was a vibrant blend of creativity, curiosity, and character development. From Music, Dance, Art, and Theatre to Drill Thrill and student journalism, every session sparked imagination and self-expression. Innovative modules like Digital Detox, Chaos Course, Mission Collaboration, and Survivor Circle equipped students with critical life skills—resilience, teamwork, adaptability, and mindfulness. Through hands-on learning and engaging activities, children discovered hidden talents, built confidence, and learned to thrive together. The final presentations beautifully reflected their enriching journey and holistic growth.
