Email: atonozzi@gcpld.org
Phone: 970-625-3471
About Me:
As a Public Library Manager, I am committed to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for both patrons and employees. Known for my fairness, compassion, and commitment to equity, I strive to ensure everyone who interacts with our library feels valued and respected. My mission is to cultivate a welcoming space where knowledge and community can thrive, driven by a genuine care for people.
I was born in Denver, Colorado, and have lived in this state for most of my life. My journey with Garfield County Libraries began in 2007 when I was hired as a library Page. Over the years, I have progressed from that position to serve as the Youth Services Coordinator and now as the Branch Manager. Despite not attending college, I have built a successful career through determination, self-education, and hands-on experience.
My personal and professional goals are centered on continuous growth and development. I aspire to keep evolving as an individual, enhancing my ability to help and support others. I am committed to ensuring that our library embodies the spirit of assistance and community service. My vision is for our library to be recognized as a sanctuary where individuals can find the resources and support they need, fostering a sense of belonging for everyone.
One of my significant accomplishments as a Public Library Manager was facilitating a partnership with Discovery Café, a full-service program that supports homeless, addicted, and disenfranchised individuals in Garfield County. Recognizing a need for these critical services among our library patrons, I took the initiative to approach Discovery Café and propose an on-site collaboration at our library. This partnership has enhanced the resources available to our patrons and reinforced our library's role as a community hub dedicated to supporting and uplifting everyone.
Outside of my professional life, I am passionate about physical activities and nature. I enjoy camping, hiking, and mountain biking, which allow me to revel in the beauty of nature and maintain a well-rounded lifestyle. These activities help me manage job stress and stay balanced. In summary, my journey has been one of continuous learning and growth. I am excited about the future and the opportunities it holds, both personally and professionally!
Name: Benjamin Brantley
Library: Poudre Libraries, Council Tree Branch - Assistant Circ Supervisor, Library Assistant, and temporarily, Volunteer Coordinator
Email: bbrantley@poudrelibraries.org
Phone: 970-800-1668
About Me:
Hi, I’m Benjamin. My current job titles include Assistant Circ Supervisor, Library Assistant, and temporarily, Volunteer Coordinator. I have nearly a decade of library experience and I love what I do. Libraries are truly unique institutions as they hold a unique position at the epicenter of intersecting tenets. Not only do we provide critical resources to vulnerable populations, we’re also a stalwart bastion of truth and critical thinking, and a shining beacon of free and equal access to knowledge. Some of my earliest memories are of my mother taking me to the local library, enjoying storytime, and participating in the Summer Reading Program. My family moved to Colorado before I started Kindergarten and I’ve lived in Fort Collins ever since. I am a life-long learner and one of the most satisfying feelings for me is the process of understanding how all the individual components of a system work together to function. I love process improvement. I’ve been fortunate enough to work with leaders who also get excited about brainstorming and implementing new processes and ideas. One of my favorite accomplishments is spearheading a team to redesign and launch a system of training documents that is functional, easy to keep up-to-date, and visually appealing for both trainers and trainees. We have since received a great deal of positive feedback, and we continue to meet several times a year to discuss larger updates. I have also designed and presented a great deal of digital literacy programming and lead a team of eight to plan and present our annual all-staff training day. One of my goals for the upcoming year is to consolidate my efforts into a full-time role instead of splintering my time and mental energy on multiple part-time efforts. I also intend to continue to improve my communication skills, to become the voice in the room that ensures every voice is heard and respected. When I’m not working at one of the libraries in town, I’m probably out with my paddle board, hiking, or exploring some hidden corner of the mountains.

Name: Kat MacLeod
Library: Pueblo City-County Library District, Greenhorn Valley Library - Librarian and Assistant Manager
Email: kdmacleod9@gmail.com
Phone: (719) 252-0218
About Me:
My name is Katherine MacLeod and I am the current Librarian and Assistant Manager at the Greenhorn Valley Library, a branch of the Pueblo City-County Library District. My branch is in a rural area and is one of the only community gathering places for the nearest three small towns and also provides the area’s only public wifi and technology access. My favorite thing about working at the library is being able to provide resources and education of all kinds in the ways patrons need, and a lot of that here happens to center around technology. The library also serves my home town of Rye, Colorado which is excellent because I’m able to help my own close community. I graduated with my MLIS from Wayne State University in 2021 and am hoping to start pursuing a doctoral degree soon. I intend to remain working for public libraries where I hope to move into a branch or department manager position down the line. I was recently elected president of the Greenhorn Valley’s Chamber of Commerce after a term of serving on the board and have contributed to growth and several successful community events. In my free time I enjoy reading (of course), all the kinds of gaming (especially PC based gaming and Magic the Gathering), working outdoors on the family ranch, and arguing about Lord of the Rings. I am experienced with a wide variety of technology and its applications ranging from minor programming and computer repair to digital art and 3D printing. I also manage to successfully apply gamification for a wide variety of outcomes and assisted with a paper about using it for military training applications that was presented at the Aerospace Medical Association Annual Scientific Meeting in Chicago.

About Me:
Hi! I'm the Head of Access Services at Western Colorado University's library. I spend my days managing the stacks, overseeing work-study students, and advising the Asian and Pacific Islander club.
Growing up in rural Southeastern Colorado, I once "ran away" to my childhood library. After graduating from La Junta Junior Senior High in 2012, I moved to Gunnison, CO, where I earned a degree in Business Administration with a Management emphasis and a Philosophy minor. I eventually found my way back to libraries and am happy to call this my second home.
I am dedicated to making our library a welcoming third space for students, enhancing accessibility, and fostering a supportive environment. Outside of work, my goal is to read 150 books for the Goodreads 2024 challenge, travel, and stand-up paddle as much as possible at Blue Mesa Reservoir.

Phone: 703-772-1439
About Me:
I am a former high school history teacher turned Youth and Family Services Librarian with Douglas County Libraries. Life should be spent doing something that matters; for me that has meant working for the past eight years on the ground level to support children through learning, entertainment, and human connection. I am especially inspired by serving families in person through storytime, readers’ advisory, and youth programming.
I served on the Steering Committee for Colorado Libraries for Early Literacy and am proud of testifying on behalf of CLEL before the Colorado Senate Education Committee and for leading the first CLEL cohort through the curriculum for Project READY (Reimagining Equity and Access for Diverse Youth).
I’m married to a great dad who parents two adorable teenagers with me. Most of our free time revolves around them so I can usually be found watching high school tennis matches, hiking, cooking, and arguing over screen time.
I look forward to learning about my potential for greater leadership in the library world and learning how to best ensure our communities and colleagues can flourish.

About Me:
Season's greetings! My name is Liana Kiddy-Gan and I’m a Library Program Associate in the Mobile Services department of the Denver Public Library. In this role I help extend the library to new spaces through daily stops to people who can’t reach a library and through outreach at festivals and other local events. I also run an Art Journaling for Older Adults class.
For me, relationships are the spice of life. From my closest confidants to strangers walking into the library for the first time, I am continually amazed at the varied and meaningful connections people create to support each other through hardships and joys. I am interested in learning more about how to build trust and respect between team members, promote empathy, and foster appreciation of each person’s skills and abilities.
I am proud of my work through the home delivery program. I have been developing deep long lasting relationships through 2 years of home delivery service, this aligns with my belief that the library should be accessible to all.
I co-founded and co-organize the DPL Asian American Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander (AA.NH/PI) Affinity Group, this achievement and continuous work exemplifies my commitment to EDI and staff wellness. Through this group, I promote a positive culture for marginalized staff, cultivate trust and empathy, and practice decision making across differences.
I am from San Jose, California where I went to University of California - Santa Cruz, and have lived in Denver for 8 years. I enjoy birding and hiking (otherwise known as biking/hirding), walking through the Denver Botanic Gardens and a good party.
Name: Lynette Seelmeyer
Library: University of Northern Colorado - Lecturer
E-mail: lynette.seelmeyer@unco.edu
Phone:
About Me:
I am a career-changing librarian with experience in academic and public libraries, public education, and the arts. I have just started a new role at University of Northern Colorado Libraries as a Lecturer on the Teaching & Learning Team, where I will be engaging in information literacy instruction, research consultations, and my own research into how neurodiverse students access and experience the academic library. I was born in the United Kingdom and moved to the United States with my parents as a small child, so like most military brats, I don’t really have a hometown, but most of my family lives in England and I tend to claim that. I grew up mostly in Montana and have my BA from Gonzaga University and my MLIS from Kent State University. I have also studied in Paris.
My professional goal is becoming a known advocate in the library space for patrons and staff with neurodiversity and disabilities and to create programming and support for these groups. I myself am neurodiverse and have a visual disability and believe I can create meaningful change and experiences for patrons and staff in this regard. A secondary professional goal is creating innovative partnerships with campus groups to bring the academic library to them, particularly in residence halls. My previous personal goal was getting my MLIS, something I have wanted to do since my undergraduate days in the previous century. I’ve done that, so now I am returning to my earlier, teenage-era goal of attending the Monaco Grand Prix, but I will settle for Austria, Italy, or the Netherlands.
I was (very) recently published in Public Services Quarterly on fostering new and continuing engagement via interactive tours and mentoring programs for neurodiverse students and students with disabilities in the academic library. I also worked on the revamp of DEI training for staff at Poudre Libraries in Fort Collins before I moved to High Plains Library District.
My areas of expertise in the library include Adult Services, Services for Emerging Adults, Disability Advocacy, Academic Librarianship, and Cultural Humility. My professional skill set includes tech instruction and troubleshooting, services for neurodiverse patrons, services for blind and print-impaired patrons, services for unhoused patrons and patrons in transition, career skills librarianship, and arts and music librarianship.
When I am not being a librarian, I enjoy gardening, photography, cooking, powerlifting (my doc thinks my bones are made of concrete), watching my knitting WIP pile gather dust, and reading anything I can get my hands on, in English or French. I am a professional photographer, a dual citizen, I speak French (and some Spanish), and I read Tarot. I am also a classically trained soprano and sing with the Larimer Chorale in Fort Collins.

I also have a diploma in Heritage Resource Management from Memorial University in Newfoundland, as well as an MFA from the University of Minnesota Duluth. I have a background as a visual artist and came to the library science world later in my career. About Me:
After securing my Bachelors in Forensic Anthropology, libraries offered a diverse outlet for non-traditional connections and opportunities. I love being able to bring my knowledge into my community, such as teaching forensic recovery to high school students or providing CPR/1st Aid classes. As Public Services Librarian, I maintain the library floor and patron experience in addition to managing our library’s finances. I'm also happy to jump in and help with programming whenever possible! Working in the rural library in my hometown (Bayfield, CO) inspired me to complete my Masters in Library and Information Science through the University of Denver’s program.
Professionally, my goals include creating a work life balance and striving to become a better leader. I am committed to creating a welcoming space for all-ages with experiences that will bring excitement, fun, and life-long learning to our community!
Outside of work, you can find me reading true crime with my morning coffee, escaping into fantasy novels, being outside with my four horses, and watching horror movies like it’s Halloween year-round! A couple of my personal goals are to read 100 books this year
and get started training the newest addition to my little herd of horses.

Library: Englewood Public Library - Technical Services and Acquisitions Supervisor
Email: sgardner@englewoodco.gov
Phone: 303.425.6037
About Me:
I get to be the Technical Services Librarian at Englewood Public Library, heading up the Technical Services and Acquisitions team. I love my job and wearing the many hats from cataloging and selecting to being out on the floor at the service desks from time to time and many things in between. My team is small but we are mighty and I am proud of all that we are able to accomplish during a year.
A Colorado native, I grew up in Denver and love it here. I ventured to Arizona for a time (too hot!!) and while there I completed my library degree at the University of Arizona. As a kid my sister and I used to “catalog” the books we read so perhaps it is not surprising that I found my way into the Technical Services side of things after spending several years working the public service desks.
Name: Will Dickerson
Library: Colorado State University - Head of Access Services

Phone: (970) 491-8598
About Me:
I’m Will Dickerson, Head of Access Services at Colorado State University. Originally from Athens, Ohio, I’ve lived in Colorado and worked with CSU Libraries since 2015. I earned my bachelor’s degree in English from Ohio University in 2011, my master’s in literature from Marshall University in 2013, and my MLIS from Kent State University in 2014.
My goals include creating a library that is a safe and welcoming space, providing and modeling great customer service, encouraging equitable and accessible use of library material, and providing a useful, engaging, and encouraging work environment for our student employees. A recent accomplishment that I’m proud of is merging our two service points in just sixth months and adapting our services to best meet our users’ needs. While we are still adapting to our new service model, we did recently celebrate our successes and one year anniversary. My skills include customer service, student supervision, communication, time and change management, and thinking outside the box.
My hobbies include gardening, browsing bookstores with my wife, buying way too many books (if there is such a thing), and trying to read as many of those books as I can before our shelves get overrun. I also watch as much baseball as possible and play slow pitch softball multiple nights each week. Lately, all my spare time has been consumed by playing with and caring for our 4-month old daughter.
