Book Presentations

Description: In January, participants will be assigned to small groups and tasked with reading a designated book on leadership. Each group will present a summary of their assigned book to CALLI participants.

Date: Wednesday, February 12, 2025, 9:00 a.m. -11:30 am

We are excited to work with you on your Leadership Book Discussion presentations!

Your small group will have 20-25 minutes to present about the themes in each book and their applications to your library and your career. You will need to work together to develop the presentation. 

The presentation will be held online via Zoom. Previous participants have used PowerPoint or other tools to create a visual presentation to accompany their discussion. Please let us know if you would like to practice using Zoom and have a committee member provide feedback about your presentation.

• Participants will demonstrate a deeper understanding of the leadership topic their assigned book covers.

• Participants will receive an overview of five additional leadership topics from other group presentations.

• Participants will gain experience presenting online.

• Each group will have 20- 25 minutes to present (depending on group size 4 or 5 people) on their assigned book.

• Book presentations are held synchronously via Zoom.

• A visual presentation (PowerPoint, Google Slides, Prezi, or another version) to accompany the presentation is required.

• All participants will present.
