Location: Old Town Library at 201 Peterson Street, Fort Collins, CO 80524; Community Room. They only have street parking and it's best to park on Olive Street because it's all day parking. You will enter the back door entrance that faces Matthew Street.

Participants will have a shared understanding of social inequities and privilege, and the ways in which these dynamics show up in the work environment.
Participants will have a strengthened understanding of ‘leadership,’ having identified helpful and inhibiting aspects of the concept as we do Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) work
Participants will understand ways to assess and augment existing accountability structures to ensure stakeholder wisdom can flow up to leadership
Participants will have a knowledge of how labor around EDI is currently distributed in our organizations, what is going well, and what needs to change
Participants will have tools for developing spaces of belonging for marginalized communities
Participants will have an understanding of the foundations for a needs assessment and/or action plan they can implement at their institution

Emma Embry (she/her) is the Teen Librarian at Bemis Public Library in Littleton, where she focuses on building community connections and a sense of belonging for patrons through inclusive and representative collections, interactive and engaging events, and curating a space in the library where teens can feel seen and safe while helping them develop a positive sense of self.
Xochil Arellano is the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Manager at Poudre Libraries and has a decade of dedicated service at the library. She brings passion for creating inclusive spaces where everyone feels valued and heard. Her career journey has served in diverse roles including Customer Experience Representative, Answer Center Tech Substitute, Assistant Circulation Supervisor, Library Assistant, and Circulation Supervisor. What she loves most about her current role is the opportunity to combine her favorite things: bringing people together, fostering meaningful connections, and infusing kindness and positivity throughout our organization. When she's not working to make our library more inclusive, you'll find her enjoying time with her family, who are her world, often expressing her love through cooking and baking for them.
Rick Medrano (he/him) is the Outreach Manager for the High Plains Library District in Weld County, CO. He has been in libraries since 2010 and has held a variety of roles from page to board member. Through his work, Rick strives to ensure that library services are accessible to all members of the community, despite physical, social, or economic barriers.
Victor Zuniga is the Integrated Library System Administrator at Poudre River Public Library District in Fort Collins, Colorado, where he manages the Sierra ILS and supports library technology initiatives. He has worked with public and academic libraries nationally and internationally, including a Koha implementation in Nicaragua. Victor is a former Chair of the Innovative Users Group Steering Committee and is passionate about collaboration in the library technology community.
Andromeda D'Angelo Stanfield (they/it/fae), is an Events and Experiences Librarian at High Plains Library District. They are the chair for CAL's EDI committee. They are also the Director of Logistics for the JEDI Advocacy Council of Greeley and are on several other boards for nonprofits that focus on serving marginalized communities. Andy has a Master's in Library Science and Mass Communications focused on EDI and is currently working towards a PhD in Library Science with a focus on JEDI in library systems. Andy is Trans, disabled, and neurodivergent and uses their personal and educational experiences to teach about neurodivergence, accessibility, and LGBTQ+ topics.
