GCCS has created surveys similar to the EL Education Crew Equity Survey and has distributed them among the entire school community collecting information about the culture and climate of the school. In the Staff Culture and Climate surveys, teachers and support staff were asked to reflect on their sense of belonging, their ability to grow professionally, and their willingness to collaborate. Additionally, they were asked to reflect on the staff-created Guiding Principles (our staff-wide Norms for working together). The surveys from all community members show an overwhelming positive perception of the GCCS community and the creation of a professional growth environment.
This survey data (staff, students, and families) were examined by the School Leader and Staff throughout the 2018-2019 school year and provided a vehicle for continued growth and collegial collaboration.
