All Sixth Graders at GCCS must be able to speak to their contributions to final products and community service during Passage Presentations. As part of their Passage Portfolio, students write a letter to the community stating how they know they are ready to be an active citizen and student after GCCS. They must describe an experience in which they made a contribution to something greater than themselves and what they learned about their skills, abilities, passions, and character. This reflection is evaluated by GCCS staff members using a standardized rubric to determine the effectiveness and clarity of their claims.
